  • the first train is the same as in frankfurt (germany), we have just other colours

  • I have yet to ride the newer trains but I used to commute on the ctrain to my high school (which I graduated from) and boy did that suck big time.

  • This is the most epic thing I have ever seen.

  • I love the Amtrak-esque horns on the new cars.

  • That video was spectacular.

  • kensington where all the faggy teenagers hang out

  • really? I'll look for you next time I'm there.

  • i dont go there. too cool brah.

  • major blind spot in that area, the operator honked his horn in case there were people waiting to cross that did not see the inbound train, the operator driving the U2 train should of blocked the intersection or drove slowly through the intersection until the inbound train came through

  • With the gates down and a train already passed there shouldn't be anyone in the intersection at all, unless your a complete dumbass of a driver...

  • Yes your right, but almost every time when a train goes (lets say outbound) at that location, pedestrians see the train go by and don't bother looking the other way and they are all ready in the way of inbound train. The fence in the way and thats why the operator honked his horn to make sure people hear him coming. If the outbound train would of went slowly through, this would force people to wait for both trains to cross.

  • Sounds like the Metro Blue Line in Los Angeles.

  • dude the whole c-train looks like the San Diego Trolley except that it has a diffrent inside and paint...i live in San Diego

  • Edmonton was the first city to buy the Siemens U2 light rail vehicles, shortly after, Calgary and San Diego made purchases as well. San Diego no leads the way in track miles with Calgary in second and Edmonton just waking up saying.... hmmmm I wonder if the lrt could go anywhere useful?

  • thanks for mentioning that the Calgary C-Train sounds line the Metro Blue line in Los angeles always wondered what it was like.....

  • the train should be up not like this and not like underground

  • huh?

  • I think he meant that the train should be an elevated line, not at-grade and not a subway. Honestly, I think that Calgary did good by planning it at-grade as a cost-cutting measure. The only HUGE problems I see with that are the 7th Ave transit mall and 36th Street NE. 36th has improved with the new light timings though.

  • The SD160 horn is something I smile at when I hear it in the morning =)

  • Nice! Love the sound of the SD160 horn!

  • Nice one !
