When newsagents have surplus magazines and comics that have 'free gifts', they usually put them into trash cans, when the sell by date expires. Here in Ireland some newsagents were happy to give them to me. The idea came to me, no doubt from heaven. For perhaps four years now I have collected those items that would have been binned. Smaller newsagents were best. Some other helpers here have used my idea, and I hope you can spread this practice around the helpers of Christmas shoeboxes.
