The scene where Liz tells Sarah about the rape is actually one of my favorites from this storyline. It's just such great acting on Becky's part and it shows a more sensitive side of Sarah, which makes the Liz/Sarah relationship so much more special.

When "Elizabeth's Rape" first aired back in the late 90's I was either 10 or 11 years old.

Back then this storyline not only opened my eyes to RAPE for the first time in my life, but it also showed me the meaning of what true friendship and love is genuinely all about in the form of "Lucky & Elizabeth".

This is a classic tragedy + a moving love story rolled into one that I'm sure impacted soooo many women in reality who had experienced physical abuse and rape back then.

Totally agreed. I was 12 when her rape aired. Yeah, I'd heard of rape and knew what it was. But watching this thought me that no matter how awful you feel, do not take a shower until after you've been to a hospital.

This "rape storyline" on GH was classic! It was GH's last major storyline in the 1990's. I loved how this tragedy gave way for a new romance and love between Lucky (JJ) and Elizabeth.
