They could gave turned that building into offices or retirement homes... if they turn drillers stadium into a qt as well it will be a sad step for Tulsa. Without bells summers in tulsa will never be the same. It's all about the money, they don't care about how people feel.
Lets see... In the 70's it was the art deco downtown buildings, then Sears, Zingo, Mayo Meadow Shopping Center, then Bells Amusement Park, The Camelot Inn, next is the Driller Ball Park. What do we have in their place? Some very beautiful asphalt parking lots and/or strip shopping centers. Wow! Were on a roll in Tulsa. Whats next? Cain's Ballroom? Why not implode the old Williams Center downtown? Afterall, it's half empty!
Crap, can't stand to watch this, even though I haven't been back to my hometown in some 20 years, I also can't stand to watch the last videos of Bell's. I hope these lessons weigh heavily upon those responsible.
someone with experience told me once that they should have just let it burn... maybe it was 'historic' but it was also a death trap, full of problems, asbestos, etc.
Just tear it down....close your eyes and tear it down. This wonderful building could have been used for so much given some people in leadership with a few brain cells. But oh well, we'll get another Quik Trip to show for it.

Haha, it does look like an unfinished hat! Others call it The Big Tin Can. If beauty is in the eye of the beholder, I need some beer goggles to appreciate that "artwork"
