  • Good job Mr Popo.

Have you seen A Typical Harley Rider At Deals Gap?

  • @operationnorthwoodz If there's such a thing as 'typical', yes, I've seen quite a few 'typical' HD as well as the sport bike riders. Can't just point out the Harley riders without considering that there's quite a few riders on sport bikes that don't have a clue.

  • @motorman857 I ride a sportbike, and I totally agree with you on that! I would say there are far more videos of sportbikes crashing on the dragon.

  • Nice Vid ! I ride a Harley and would like to ask you to view my video " Fast Harleys

Ripping up Hwy20" so I can get a few pointer's from a pro like yourself. Every

rider can use a different set of eye's to get the skills sharp. Thanks ! keep up

    the good work.

  • They need to film top gear here, they should have featured this place in the episode where they tried to find the greatest road

  • Jerry's comment near the end "pull over or wave others by who want to keep a faster pace" applies everywhere. To many bikers and cagers alike in this country do not afford this courtesy (why?). Only in Europe do I experience this courtesy w/any regularity.

  • From 2:00, the rider in front of the rider that crashed is amazing!

  • Great video Motorman, I enjoyed my trip up the dragon all thanks to you preparing me for that ride.

  • In Sept. 2009, I rode the Dragon on my Honda VFR 800, 3 times! The first 2 times it was dry. The third time, when I was on my way to Knoxville, it was wet. It was fun, but challenging, and it took a lot out of me.

  • I want to take one of your advanced courses and I live in Florida...looking forward to learning from you.

  • too nice, just amazing, thank you man, you are the one who care about other, thank you! congratulation for this job.!

  • @authenticalexful if you're riding the Dragon or any high speed road, don't you think you should already know about riding over a watery surface and using your rear brake....those are basics they teach riders at the beginner courses to get a motorcycle license. If you don't know these things, I'd recommend another hobby.

  • Even with poor technique most of these accidents could be avoided by doing one very simple thing...slowing down.

  • okay lets be honest here, grandpa on his goldwing isnt going to be trying to drag a knee for the first time of course this video is going to show sport bike riders going down. that being said a cruiser style bike is just as likely to go down. honestly maybe more due to dragging the exhaust actually. sport bike riders like trying to find out what theyre bike can do and the only way to find that limit is to sadly go past it. to bad track days arent cheaper or people would learn there.

  • no need for name calling morons . Good video. Thanks.

  • Please wear a helmet and proper protective gear.

    Ride safe and sober.

Watch out for people on there cell phones.

  • Thanks for posting this vid :)

  • dont pass till the person had pulled off the roadway, or you will get a ticket on the dragon....target fixation gets ya everytime

  • Let's just say I got 60k miles of experience under my belt of sport bike riding and the only way IMO to learn to ride a certain road is to go down it a bunch of times till you get familiar with it.

  • still hate seeing myself on film, nice bunch of folks though!!!!!!!!

  • as a novice rider (have my learners permit since april and did about 7000 km) i just want to tank you for these free and usefull videos

everytime before i take my bike out for a ride i watch some of your clips and try to embed the tips in my riding style

you have extremely usefull tips and without them i would have had at least one accident, so many thanks from belgium

can i order your dvd through amazon? (i know they deliver to belgium)

  • Being a noob I have no (real life) support behind my comment. But I do believe that many young boys with 1000cc sports bikes tend to screw around and push their limits alot more compared to those riders with cruisers. Motorman, I believe that your comment saying "your a sport bike racist" is similar to how most adults view cars like modified hondas, nissans, etc. It's completely understandable. (at least thats my theory) Nice vid. It was alot of help

  • @ 3:04

    That poor bike! :(

    Sent to a watery grave....

  • Ok, I admit it. I'm a sport bike racist. There I said it. I would NEVER let my daughter marry a sport bike, I wouldn't eat dinner with a sport bike and I would never give a sport bike a job. Either that, or no cruiser crash footage was available when I made the video. You choose.

  • Hah! I thought when you said that you're a "sport bike racist" that you race sportbikes in your spare time! Motorman, I'm loving your vids that you put up here; you're very funny and super cool. I'm about to get a bike for the first time as a new rider at the end of the month, and it's awesome learning things from someone as super-pro as you :)

  • Brown noser. LOL

  • Pshhhh!!!

  • @motorman857 OK, you admit it...that's great. I thought the whole point of riding was to get out on 2 wheels and have an enjoyable, safe riding experience. It may be true that a higher percentage of crashes occur on sportbikes, but that isn't the bike's fault. And while there are plenty of people foolish enough to ride their sportbikes in shorts or flip-flops,etc., virtually EVERY H-D rider I see fails to gear up at all. ATGATT is the name of the game. God bless.

  • @motorman857 dude they are just different machines. sport bikes are designed for the track and to reach high speeds, cruisers are for the street and for more "comfort".

They just have different purposes and applications.

  • @motorman857 What about Buells? ROFL

  • Soooooooooooooo it costs money to see the rest?? Since when did youtube turn into commercials for professionals business'.

  • The same day it came on line.

  • what? you want everything for nothing? You should be thankful for the clips this man if showing us for free.

  • i know.. very informative even if it's for only 3 minutes each...

  • @voyerist1 Hey, theres nothing wrong with a person using a skill he took the time to develop for making a living. Youtube welcomes these vids because they[re in the business of selling advertising and people like me (and you) watch them & they're helpful whether you spring for the full vid or not. I appreciate the motorman for helping us less skilled riders get better & safer. Jerry, I saw you @ the cycle show in Atlanta this yr & you were great but... how'd you get such a gorgeous wife?

  • @nedloh325 I'm a lucky man, that's how I got such a gorgeous wife. Not only can she out ride any guy out there, she's my best friend and a wonderful mother to our two grown sons. Life is good.

  • I didn't hear any talk about countersteering. My personal advice is ride at your own abilities and aim to string every coner together as smoothly as you possibly can. Forget what other riders are doing and string you own lines together. By doing this your find that you become a much faster safer rider than ever before. If you feel your runing wide then try a bit of countersteering and throttle through the bends gently. Learn to read the roads better and you will naturally become faster.

  • Jerry, I normally agree with everything you say and I love your videos. Perhaps it would help to add something about pushing on the hand grip in the direction of the turn in the places you say to look in the direction of the turn. I know it seems obvious, but when I was a brand new rider it wasn't so obvious.

    Nice video.

  • Thanks for all of your tips, you have improved my riding 110%.

  • hey i knw this is prob a stupid

question but when u say look to

were u turn how does that help?

and do u need to turn ur head to

that direction or can u just use ur

    eyes for say thx :)

  • You turn your head and eyes and look towards the end of the turn. Your hands will follow youe eyes and steer to where you are looking.

  • awesome man thx for the tips

im hoping i dont drop my new

bike on a u turn though LOL

  • I agree with what you are saying...but i like how you only show sport bikes wrecking
