  • Hi, David. I've been away for awhile and was delighted to find so many wonderful new videos on your You Tube channel! Great sound. And neat, neat effect on this one, too. Happy Spring! -- Jennifer

  • @jennifera11en Thanks!

  • Your playing and singing are superb, Ukester. i have to ask, do you have voice training? Or just very experienced? Or just lucky? You have such consistently good vox.

  • @LeoHareMusic Thanks Rob. My Dad's mom played piano by ear, my dad at a very early age sang publicly with his mom playing piano. As he got older he had a lovely tenor voice and played trumpet. Everyone in the family can carry a tune. My younger brother plays drums and keyboards, my sister played piano/organ. I was in band and choir in high school. So I guess genetics partly... unfortunately my gramma, dad, sister and a brother all had/have hearing loss. So far I'm good that way.

  • Always toe-tapping, Ukester.

  • @mctrmt It hurts if you tap many other things!

  • People go on about the sixties being a golden age for popular musi - which it was - buth that late twenties/early thirties was probably the first golden age. Excellent. Thank you for sharing

  • @casetone2514 They did churn out the songs, but it's hard to find a clinker. I think there were a lot of classically trained musicians who knew theory and they tended to hook up with a partner who could take the lyrics and rhythm contemporary.

  • David, great job as usual. It is about time to feature you again on ukuDaily. If you are up to it, I will send off some additional interview questions.

  • @ukudaily Thanks- I'd love to.

  • Well done, David! Great song! I like the sepia, scratchy look of the video.

  • @keonepax Thanks John.... For some reason the digital video skipped a bit early in and I figured the aged look covered for that problem a bit. I'm lazy and didn't want to do another take when I was otherwise happy with how it turned out.
