  • love it.

  • YES, guerilla enterprise is the key to freedom.......strong cyrptography, public-key, anonymity, digital currency, integrated hand held devices, wifi, p2p....these things could be very helpful.

in 1998 russia had an economic crisis, and some dudes with a few computers and an internet connection started webmoney, a non-banking online solution which is a basket of currencies (including gold i believe).

when the old system collapses markets will become ungovernable.

  • All well and good but when the old system collapses do you really expect all your high tech to keep working?

  • When we nuked Nagasaki and Hiroshima that certainly changed things by fighting the existing reality.

  • Thank you for doing your part of making the MSMs obsolete.

  • juliaisafilmbuff123 -

You apparently miss the entire point and meaning of the word "Free" in Free State Project. If you believe that personal and business economic success is inversely proportional to the degree of a societies freedom, there are several countries in the world better suited to your philosophy and choice of residence. Some of them even have indoor plumbing.

  • I'm starting a new security and surveillance business.

Hoping that it will reduce the number of police needed to curb crime and show that private companies and individuals can secure their own property. After all, most officers only show up AFTER the crime to fill out paper work.

  • I get the point of this video - that we should make our own currency model rather than trying to fix the broken fiat monetary system we have now.

The guys over at the American Open Currency Standard have been working on that.

  • The philosophy of freedom is already in place. It is called Christianity.

God created us all in his own image, "and because he is perfectly free, he created us to be perfectly free!"

    - Judge Andrew Napolitano

  • I don't need to BELIEVE in a SAVIOR for my supposed sins to understand freedom.

  • If your rights are not given to you by GOD, then they are given by man. Therefore society can grant or deny you rights. Your rights become dependent on the whim of the opinion of polite society.

If your rights are God-given, then society cannot remove you of your rights. You may have to fight for recognition of those rights, but they are yours by the fact of your creation in the image of the almighty.

  • God doesn't grant me any rights, the only thing that gives me rights is my willingness to pull the trigger on anyone who tries to take them away.

  • but if you were to shoot and possibly kill someone who is trying to impede on your rights [we seem to be of like mind that they are not given nor taken away, we're born with them and they're unbounded] you'd be a violent person. and there's almost no need for violence at all. you'd simply have to organize to avoid violent confrontation. it may come anyway, but organization can ALWAYS trump violence. always.

  • The problem arises when you start telling other people that YOUR interpretation of God is the one they MUST believe.

  • christianity in its current form is hardly a model of freedom. In fact groups like Focus on the Family and the Cornerstone Foundation exist with a mission of "taking back America for Christ." Most of their time and effort is spent jockeying for more power and government influence so they can pass laws that force non-Christians to live by THEIR morals. The best example of this is the whole debate on gay marriage.

  • hibraisil, you refer to organisations, not to philosophy. Where is your actual gripe with Christianity?

Re the debate on homosexual marriage, the issue is that some homosexuals are demanding that others honor and reward them for having sex with others of the same sex by instituting same-sex marriage laws. They are trying to impose their moral standard that homosexual behavior is good on those who disagree. That does not further freedom. It attacks it!

  • what an utterly ludicrous claim. Gays are not out there demanding that people only be allowed to have homosexual marriages. They are not demanding that the government codify THIER idea of marriage as the only one that legally exists. Notice that I specified Christianity IN ITS CURRENT FORM. Although God created all people with free will Christians have no problem robbing others of that free will and justifying it with a passage from the bible. Philosophy of freedom my ass.

  • The FSP makes me laugh. Remove NH from the union and the newly independent NH will fail in no time at all. All those people who live in NH and work in Mass will lose their jobs. All those people from Mass who come to NH to spend money won't be able to come in without passports and thus will find it too much of a hassle to shop here. All those rich kids from NY at Dartmouth will suddenly be "international students" and will probably be denied entry into the state. That's what the FSP wants.

  • In order to build up the NH economy, the Free Staters (who I assume would be in control of this new state government) would have to put tarifs on all goods bought in NH by Massachusians and other Americans. This totally contradicts their philosophy of "free trade" (since free trade by their definition is technically an apple for an orange, not an apple with a bunch of taxes on it for an orange). This would make lots of revenue for NH but would be purely hypocritical for the FSP.

  • Shhhhhh - they don't like to hear reality....and now that a few offended crybabies wasted their time giving you thumbs down, they probably won't let you in NH - cause that's how they roll. (But just don't tell them that) lol.

  • Until recently Canadians only needed their driver's license to enter the USA, cross-border commuting is not uncommon in Europe, even involving non-EU countries and "international students" are always a welcome source of revenue.

  • nah most free staters are open border types. Besides the idea in this vid is to keep the union intact but largely set aside its central government.

To paraphrase what Woods says in the next video...what would we ever do without this parasitic anchor that rules over 300 million people like they were a village...."

  • It's another Y2K. People are getting worried over nothing.

  • I agree with you. Many people thought the world was ending in 1500. It's really interesting to look at Italian art history around that time and see the extremes that society went through. Well, the world didn't end.

  • So what was with scantly clad gal at the end?

  • just checking to see if people are watching to the end...!! there are now blips like that near the end of most of the vids !

  • the 2012 movie is idiotic

  • I can start making the IRS obsolete, all you guys send me money.

  • @FlailingJunk Nice scam man.

  • Confederation sounds good to me!

  • Excellent thought and insight, provocative and intellectually stimulating as always!
