They were really an under-appreciated talent. Patrick O Hearn went on to record mood music, easy listening. Warren was a great guitarist? Who was the drummer. Excellent drummer Dale's vocal's were very unique
Another great song that hardly anyone ever heard. When this came out (way back then) I was shure it would go far. I guess I had to much faith in the 'average' radio listener.
You cant blame kids for liking music that is released today regardless if they are copying stuff from our generation, they dont know any better and have not experienced REAL music, its like everything is made in Thailand now, GOOD COPY but NOT ORIGINAL ;)
I love this band and this band and song are AMAZING! 1980's kicked ass. Makes me wish I was graduating from High school and going into college in 1980.
@lhart99 I am 45..and have loved this group since I first learned about them when I was a kid in high school in the early 80s..i had never heard of them til one night on a music show, there was a short interview with them and i was hooked just on those few min seeing them being interviewed..Back in those days Columbia House Record Club was the in thing, and they had the Missing Persons lp "Spring Session M' , so i ordered it right away...got the lp about a month later and became addicted :-)
@n8tureboy K-tel..wow, lots of our records (especially the compilations) were by K-tel..especially during the 70's/80's...is it true that K-tel used recycled cheap plastic for their records? regardless, I still purchased, played and loved them.. :-)
@n8tureboy they (The CBC ) did a really cool documtentary not too long ago on the whole K-tel saga..pretty interesting it was..and i think i recall them saying that the records were made with the lowest quality plastic .
@rhymeandreasoning the name of the documentary is 'As Seen on TV: The K-Tel Story' ..a must see, pretty interesting..and a cool trip back to the past..u might even be able to find it online.
Yeah, as much as I loved Mental Hopscotch or Walking in LA, this song became a favorite after just one listen. It seems like it's a harder rocking version of Missing Persons.
i love the way the highest rated comments are always some phony so-called 12-15yr. old who 'supposedly' loves '80's music. you suckers out there in you tube world always vote for them instead of somebody who has a little knowledge of music or somebody who says something funny. STOP FALLING FOR THAT CRAP!
@410missmonkeyful Hey I will give anyone a thumbs up who is not dumb/unimaginative enough to fall for the sh*t music they are cranking out by the commode full. By the way at 12-15 years old I knew a lot about all kinds of music.
Who cares who gets the most thumbs up. Like what kindof loserpays attention to that??
Yeah! These guys were great. I got to see them play in what was called the Syria Mosque Ballroom in Pittsburgh. The place was really a basement without air conditioning in August. Warren's hurt his neck during the show and played about 3 songs with his head immobile before they finished the show without him. I think I was standing 3 feet in front of Dale with my girlfriend. It might sound like a miserable show, but I think it was my favorite.
Sure, there are groups with dudes wearing makeup these days - but the big difference is that a lot of those groups today are boring, cynical posers who can't write and generally can't play. Groups like MP were campy in appearance, but backed it with talent. Not enough of that today.
@nitedrive AMEN !!! TALENTLESS POSERS AND THOSE THAT LOVE THEM F' OFF!! 70's - 80's FOREVER. PUNK TO NEW ROMANTIC/ NEW WAVE & YES SOME DISCO LIKE ROD STEWART ( DO YA THINK I'M SEXY). TAKE ME BACK & Let's do it all over again! Total blast!!
I think it's great that younger people today can appreciate this old stuff. Still refreshing when considering the "barren wasteland" of creativity that is much of today's music. MP was and still is a favorite of mine. Thanks for all the posts!
The lead track here was the beginning of the *end*.......
I will always treasure it....

With this album MS move from a more experimental sound to a more "standard" one, a great album too.
Sad that they dont reach more popularity.
For me one of the best MS songs is Surrender your heart.
