I can't remember when I laughed so hard. And who can resist the gorgeous William Holden who plays the straight man here so consumately. Check out my fan page for the incomparable Bill Holden on facebook:
After all these years, to still be giving us the gift of laughter and joy. And what a great sport William Holden was to take that pie! And what a professional; I've watched this clip slowed down and even at the moment of impact, he didn't even flinch.
"William Holden behind me! oh he's dreamy"LOL you can say that again Lucy.I never get tired of watching this,it's hysterical and William looks like he's having a great time so relaxed working with her. Thanks for uploading great episode.
This is my all-time favorite episode. I would be exactly like Lucy and Ethel watching for movie stars, were the Derby open and still the "hot spot" for celebs today!
The first time I saw this on TV, I could hardly breath. Now after about 500 times watching it, it still gets a few hearty chuckles from me. Lucy is timeless.
This is my all-time favorite episode. I can't imagine how many times I have seen it, it always cracks me up, especially with the putty nose. The whole episode is hysterical. When Ricky comes home & she says, "I'm shy", just the thought of that does it to me!
Good 4 Bill Holden giving lucy a taste of her own medicine, thats exactly what i do when kids are standing there stareing at me cause there parents are 2 busy 2 realize they are being rude, i use a 3 wheel scooter
Actually that's not spagehetti that's spilled on Bill Holden. It appears to be some type of gooey wet dish. No noodles on his noodles....no pasta on his person. Lucy was the one eating spaghetti.
@JubalCalif Thank you for the correction. I still laughed until I cried. I don't any celeb in Hollywood would like that food spilled on them even for a sitcom.
You are more than welcome, my friend. And I totally agree with you that most celebs wouldn't be crazy about having food dumped onto them....messy way to make a living! :-)

For me, the best part of this scene is seeing how relaxed William Holden becomes while Lucy becomes more uncomfortable.

@JubalCalif I know that Lucy worked with the Three Stooges and probably learned from them some of her comic material.
