Hi thanks a lot for all your excellent videos. When I record my voice in fantom G, I get the audio track, go the the edit and set the tempo sync to OFF, but still it vibrates when I play it in the audio track. The vibration is only gone, when I increase the tempo 1 point up than what I recorded on. Why is that? Second question is, whenever I put the effect in the audio mic in, I find hiss noise in the recorded data. Is it normal, of using better mic and cable will solve it?
cani just use any ram? says best buy or ebay? , thanks! my laptop audio is mess up so i cant hear anything so i dont know if u mention it or not =( thanks again!
@giodecartago It's entirely up to you on which you rams you buy. If you do a lot of sampling and also plan on doing a lot audio recording, then 1GB would probably be best. If you are not going to use the audio recording that much, then 512MB would be fine. I personally have been using 512MB for years and have never had any issues.
Hi I installed a 1gb ram in my fantom g8 but when i switch on my keyboard it show check DIMM restart keyboard i tried installing the a 256mb ram but it tell to check the dimm could tell what going wrong

oh ok, im gonna see what i got cause all i did was bought the maximum memory for the fantom G which was the 1Gb Ram. well lets see what happens. thanks for the info once again.
thanks bro, i appreciate to info. i have a fantom G8 and i installed 1Gb of RAM.
the only issue i am having now is recording audio. for some reason it refuses to save the audio. it tells me that the memory is full. i am not sure if i am recording wrong. i contacted Roland and even they didn't really know why it's doing that, can you make a video on how to record audio like voice or guitar? thanks and God bless you for your knowledge!!!!!
@jlrmywork - there are several known issues with memory. One of these seems to depend on whether the memory card is low density or high density. Apparently high-density doesn't work! Low density is the older technology. Roland confirm that Fantom G will only accept 1Gb cards if you're using the latest (v1.5) software - anything older can only use a max of 512Mb. I should check with your supplier to see exactly what you've been supplied with.

Hi
Thanks for all your excellent videos.
what are the pros an cons of using 512 and 1GB?
why should we bother buying less than 1G ram if its affordable anyway?
