I was here also!! I went to 4 concerts that year at the livestock show. Cheap Trick, Alabama, George Strait and one other one. The rotating stage was several country videos from that year. The dome did stink from sound.

@bibliac- Correction: 36 'always tuned' strings. 1st neck is a 12-string, the rest are 6 string guitars. In one of the interviews, CT guitar technician Dave said that although he hates the 5-neck monster but just the same, he does his job with a smile (hehe, doing 36 strings? I could imagine!) BTW, the CT's 5-neck guitar is the only one existing in the world. Afterall, Rick Nielsen is one helluva guitar collector.

The band puts on an awesome show. Rick Nielson is funny, like Townshend used to be with the Who. Was so into the show that he had no clue how to sing a whole part on mic. Sound guy probably had him turned off or there would be suddenly two words heard and then nothing. Great performance.
