With a double pedal one of the hammers isn't really in the center of the base drum, therefore making a slightly different sound then the other one.

Yeah. The power you can boost out, and the sound of the pedals are very different if it´s double pedal, or 2 bass drums with on each pedal.

Try loosening the bass drum spring, that worked for me. :)

i dont think u hafta do that, just loosen the spring tension. u dont really hafta worry tho, unless u use triggers. THOSE will pick up even the smallest hit haha
