Long name, short story: There was already a Michael Hall AND a Michael Anthony Hall in the Screen Actors Guild when he went to sign up for it, so he flipped his first name with one of his middle names, and voila! Anthony Michael Hall, or just Mike! Oh, and Reiko is a doll! I loved her in this ep!

She calls him Michael because that's his name.
Anthony Michael Hall is his acting name. His birth name is actually Michael Anthony Hall. And he prefers to be called Michael.
