Androgen is annoying to put on every day. Plus the absorption rate for some is horrible. I took far too long without ANY increase in T. Levels actually went down. Injection are far more efficient and more importantly effective.
Thanks for posting this man, I just got my pump and I feel just like you do because I have my grandson whom is 2yrs. old. I'm scared to use this stuff because of the effects I could do to him. But I'm glad you came out and was honest about what men our age go through, a lot of guys play off like this does not exsist. If more guys admit these problems it helps other guys, thanks.
I've been on androgel for 3 1/2 months and I do feel better and my memory and energy level is better but not great. Got rid of my depression as well. I do have up's and down's though. I get better results if I apply it kind of thick rather than a thin layer.
I don't have a problem with cross contamination because I always wear a shirt. However, I believe injections would be better in your case then you wouldn't have to worry about anyone coming in contact with your skin.
First off, the FDA has way too much time on their hands. With that said, you might want to do some research into what point after application of Androgel would the risk of transferring testosterone to others be the greatest or if it's even possible after the gel dries. I'm sure the gel contains alchohol and other stuff for a reason, probably to help the skin absorb the test. I think a chat with a chemist would be in order if you know of one. I've been on androget for 4 weeks now.
Thanks for the thoughtful commments. I started taking 5 grams(4 pumps) of Androgel July 8 10 and no results yet. I share your concern of cross contamination. I don't have kids to worry about but skin to skin contact with my wife concerns me. Carry an alcohol wetnap like those found in first-aid kits to wash off the T in a hurry for skin to skin contact. Leave a pump bottle of Purel hand cleaner in the Caravan to clean it off yourself or the kids. I feel no change yet. Too early.
