@mijonju Bravo on the photos,I was going to elaborate on what I liked but I have to hurry to get more cameras haha you infected me I have mijonju syndrome
@wilsoninhk YEs, but the camera will not close up anymore, i tried to fit a largeformat lens on it before, it worked but you can't fold it back so i changed it back,
@aPieceOf LOL!!! Actually when i said that phrase, I thought of the same thing.. LOL and now im defending myself small aperture doesnt mean i dont get girls.
@KsantiMedia yes sure, the light gathering is still the same, What i really wanna say is that, in order to get that amount of range example a 50mm framing on a 35mm film, I can get a the amount of range in that same distance and framing.. if 1 guys with a 50mm standing beside me we are shooting the same object, my photo will get more DOF i know its because of the focal length, but since we are standing at a same distance from object to camera, we also get the same amount of stuff in the photo
@unknownchronicles ya i was using the exposure time thats meant to be for the inside, and the outside was sunny as hell, so the image came out like this.
Thanks again Mijonju! I feel that it is also very important for people learning about photography to know that the size of your capturing medium has nothing to do with depth of field.
It's a common mistake to think the format size is part of the equation. Divide the focal length by the "f" number and you have your diameter. The bigger, the more out of focus the background. A 105mm at 5.6 is about as shallow as a 50mm at 2.8! Also depending on distance to subject, and distance to background.
@rickogezmn I know what you mean, its the focal length, maybe i wasnt expressing too well, but the thing is.
that if I stand beside a guy with a 35mm film with a 50mm lens, and we shoot the same object from the same distance, even when i am using the 105mm I get the same range as seen in the 50mm. so thats what i mean with the format changing the depth of field, but its because its bigger, i can use a longer focal to get the same amount of range i need. and more dof like from a tele
Definitely! I'm sorry, I didn't mean to be questioning your knowledge, just helping the others out there who are learning from your great videos. =] It seems that many people today think that a 50mm 1.2 will have a more shallow depth of field on a full frame camera then on APSC, which isn't the case. You just see less of the image circle, giving you a field of view similar to a longer lens. At the same distance, same out of focusness, same bokeh. Just a lesser angle of view. =]
But then again, it does make sense in a way, because with a greater angle of view a shooter could get closer to the subject, there by causing the background to be more out of focus, as long as the same lens is used on both formats. So I can see how that could be causing confusion.
But I'm thankful for your videos sir! Keep it up! Sharing your knowledge and gear with us is really a cool thing. If I could suggest a video. Your favorite analog Leica body, thread or M, RF lens, and why?
@DJSynyster aperture doesnt change, if the film speed its 100 its still as slow, what i mean is the DOF of the small aperture is similar to a big aperture on a smaller capturing medium, its not because of the format, but the focal length that allows to capture the same range with a longer focal length thats why to put it simple, the bigger the format, the longer focal length you can use but maintain the same range that you need.
how much did you pay for it? o:

The aperture doesn't change with sensor size, it changes with focal length.
You will wind up with less DOF on a larger sensor for the same image, obviously, but in terms of light gathering, f/5.6 is still f/5.6.
