For all the detractors, I'm pretty sure that thing is built on a stock Manco Critter frame, or whatever the heck their 2-seater is called these days, which is meant to run only a 5hp engine with a centrifugal clutch. Winding that thing up to top speed with a CBR engine would NOT be a good idea, as if the torque didn't stand it up on its ass end it'd probably fold the frame up like a goddamned taco. Plus, that model has nothing but a single drum brake. Bad plan.

well it depends, if your a fabricator yourself, you just need to pay for materials and the engine, so around $1500, thats how much it costs me to build. but if need a fabricator and materials or you buy one assembled around $5000. then if you buy a already complete one about $8000

Yep, very rickety....which is why I sold it before it tore itself apart. Yeah, I'm the fat, bald 'dad' driving it at the end and I could tell right away that it was going to tear itself apart in short order so I sold it before that happened. The reason I said '... I haven't had it past third'... is because 2nd gear at 11,000 RPM was right at 60 miles an hour and then it developed a nasty shimmy above that. Thus the reason I sold it before ugly things happened.

You can use ATV brakes on it just mount the rotor to the axle and mount the pads to the swingarm or frame. Those will defintely supply some stopping power.

If you were to make another kart you could use a similar frame but fabricate it to accept ATV A-arms and hubs to widen out the front and have the option to use front brakes and supsension.
