God I miss them so much.

Saw them live in Belfast at the Mandella Hall just around the time they released Someone To Drive You Home, the support band was 1990's.

It was a fantastic show, we were all singing along and Kate was every inch the star!

After the gig she kindly signed my copy of Weekend Without Makeup, which I treasure (along with the rest of my Long Blondes collection).

It was so awful what happened to Dorian.

If only they could reform!

i've just seen Kate on Buzzcocks. I'm ashamed to say, I thought it was Kate Nash when I first switched over but Jackson got a cracking figure on her, she somehow manages to be slim but curvey at the same time. I'd personally never put Milburn in the same league as The Long Blondes. Milburn had some early promise but ultimately, never delivered past a couple of good first singles. The album dissapointed me.

The Long Blondes though made a great first album and a pretty cool second one.

TLB had the style, the intelligence, the glamour & the attitude to become one of the best pop groups of the last decade. Their early singles, for example autonomy boy, were stunning - their sound was unlike anything else around that time. They also looked like a proper pop group and Kate was one striking front woman. They wern't the best musicians but at least they were far more creative in term of lyrics & sound ("coupeles", All bar one girls & fulwood babylon are great examples). there you go.
