John deere greens mowers are gash, they are such a pain in the arse when greasin them up and puttin a cuttin edge on them. The best thing for them is wing them in the skip
Clearly you don't know what your talking about.... they are so much better to set up than other units out there on the market. as for greasing, every machine can be a pain but its something that needs to get done.
We have recently had a whole new lot of kit where i am and the rough cutter has had 7 brake downs in the first 6 months, the hydrolic oil motor that sits on the front of the decks blew in front of the first tee. The fairway mowers units must be made from lead (sooooo soft). And as for the greens mower, toro units clip on and off with ease (we have 2 toros) john deeres are an afterthought, and for the icing on the cake the paint has started pealing just after 10 months.
What happened that makes you think the units are to soft? Did you have problems with the drive shafts for the brush kits stripping? We got a whole fleet in to and we wernt without a few problems but the service provided towards getting them up and running again was top notch. Something that lacks with other makes out there.
