in my opinion you cannot choose ur own 'big four' metallica, megadeth, slayer and anthrax are the big four because they are pretty much the only thrash metal bands to achieve gold or platinum album status. They also have melded the most influential and original styles in thrash and therefore have influenced most of the metal from the past 25 years dramatically. Kreator are my fav band eva but i hold nothing against the big four and accept they are essentially 'the best'
