Rx8 vs 350z

The RX8's should have been twin turbo like the RX7. I own a Z & am a black belt "but" everyone know Japan makes something good then drops support for it & turns around & makes it worse with a new one. RX8's are mini Ferrari's.

I love how every time an Rx8 wins there are ALL THE Z LOVERS claiming it was a fluke... I'm sorry but in my opinion it has a lot to do with the driver.. i have a stock 04 rx8 and have dusted many z's because they get scared at around 110 mph when they LOSE CONTROL of the HEAVY 350z... BOOO ZZZZZZz

@TazFC3s Um I can back cruise30 up. RX-8 lack torque. I didn't mind the oil consumption but the gas mileage for the car is horrendous. The car eats gas like fat kids eat candy. I got between 160-200 miles to a tank of gas depending on how I drove. Unfortunately my RX-8 was totalled so I bought a 350z. So much more power and torque and I can get 320 plus miles to a tank. My best was 407 miles to one tank.. Almost all highway though. I like the 350z way more although I do miss the back seats...

@joshtard1111 i will agree that the 350z is faster and better on gas but i was commenting on the wont last part, if u take care of it the way you are supposed to it will be fine my 2nd gen rx7 was the same way i thought it wouldnt last and it now has almost 200k on it and it still runs strong(no rebuilds, it needs one tho lol) i have driven both and imo the rx8 is

more fun to drive but im a rotary fun, the sound of the z is sex tho

what the 8 lags in horsepower, it make up for in its lightweight and high reving capability. They are quick cars. I love my RX8 and if you ever decide to mod them out, a properly tuned RX8 can be very tough competition

rx8's are really good cars, but the sucky part about it is wen its stock

if u tune it up (maybe change the rotary engine) im sure its amazingly fast mainly cuz its really light

try racing with an automatic 350z there quicker than sticks cus of the tire spins i beat a couple of manual 350z the other day the 350z should be well ahead of the rx8..rx8 is a nice car though i would buy one

The only thing that stops the RX8 from being a good drag car is that crappy transmission. you cant go from 1st to 2nd without killing the tranny.

...gotta look at the facts too...weight is nearly the same...its a true 2 door sports car vs a 4 door sports sadan...the z has over 100 more tq...and atleast 40 more hp...the rx8 does well for its numbers...can out handle any car in its class...also cheaper...friends got a 03 z with popcharger and invidia catback...im still stock, and were almost even...rx8s also come with lsd's even with a base modle...350z's dont, z's are sick dont get me wrong, but 8s arent half bad.
