I think I actually did the whole song but struggling with an obsolete air card in Skagway, Alaska at 300kps (during the tourist season the place is jammed with tourists and goes from a town of 700 to a couple of thousand -- in October the air card goes back to about 2thousand kps). It's a beautiful song. I used to drive through W. Va as a North Carolina moving man back in '92 driving on the back unpaved roads. Beautiful place, just like the song sez...

I started growing mine after I used2get bossed around by a few bossy ladies -- co-workers at the mart in Kitty Hawk, North Carolina, back in the '90's -- got2b a serious problem. so, 2remedy the problem I grew the beard. After that, oddly enough, they stopped bothering me. so I kept it.
@EPSKAMP93 Thanks! -- Back when I drove a moving van along those dirt country roads in West Virginia in the early '90's, I was clean shaven. I would drive along and think of John Denver's song -- that is when it wasn't raining and the roads weren't slippery!
