  • As i read BB is coming with a new playbook.

  • i was considering buying a playbook, but due to lack of apps and its outrageous app price i will pass. maybe wait till they get their shit together or go for android

  • how did you change the icons from 0:20? e.g: music icon, pictures,...

Thumbs up so he can see

  • @jjgibson2000 Blackberry Bridge supports Blackberry Internet Service through your phone - the unlimited data which is minimized with no flash support. If you want Flash, Internet tethering uses the raw data allocated in your phone plan given on the side WITH the BB data. (In Australia, BB plans offer the BIS AND raw data from the network telco.)

3G actually means internet speed. You have reception on your phone, you get 3G speed.

  • i dont feel it like the ipad.

  • @andrehellm13 B/c it's more business oriented. The ipad 2 is a toy.

  • @J90lude they should have named it bizbook not PLAYbook. lol

  • DOES THE PLAYBOOK HAVE GYRO SCOPE?

  • @SickoZone Yes it does

  • How about a crossover Playbook support for the iPhone? RIM, if you want me, a consumer, and many more people to buy a Playbook instead of an iPad, just consider this idea ...... more sales and consumers.....

  • so you guys are saying checking your email is "business"? LOL anybody can bloody check there email with any devices this days. I still don't get why people like BB phones. Is it because of BBM? which anybody can download in the app or there business set up email LOL. BB phones are straight up useless junk!

  • @lbs123 actually a many corporate emails structures are not supported. for example, neither android or the ios platforms can communicate fluidly with lotus notes where blackberry can.

  • @lbs123 no it's the security. If you don't like, don't buy it!

  • @lbs123 Actually, people like BB phones because you dont just get a phone, you get a data and push service which pretty much owns the competition in that regard with BBM, email and attachements plus web browsing (unlimited in Australia). Plus a reliable, loud and tough handset in most cases (not the torch) which doesnt have reliability and quality issues like glass shattering.

Oh btw, Paris Hilton uses BB. So does Matt Damon. So do Organized Crime around the world. No hacking on a BB. :)

  • @lbs123 Oh yes I forgot, I get my email sent to my BB phone before I can see it on my gmail inbox. So do my Facebook messages. Average time is like 3-7 seconds when a message is sent or a post is made. I actually have to set my Facebook feeds to every hour because i keep getting Facebook prompts every 10 mins and overnight. BB = Efficiency and security.

  • cant wait for that playbook , so excited already pre order on staples.com YAY

  • So where is the business side of it ?

  • @Mylo4501 Security and cloud system paired with your BIS or BES(corporate) set up. So, if you lose your playbook or it gets nicked, no private and confidential data including contacts is lost since its paired with your BB phone. Unlike a stupid jailbreak into your apple products which compromises everything.

  • Very interested in getting this...love that it is compatible with my phone!

  • life was much easier when apple and blackberry were just fruits

  • @LongShotNews No, anything is better than iPad

  • i find tablet computers nothing but waste of resources grow up ppl -_-

  • Can i browse internet using black berry bridge ?

  • OmG I want one!

What' the pricing going to be like?

Will there be a bluetooth, wireless keyboard?

    Thx

  • @emilieclarke it has bluetooth but idk about the wireless keyborad... that would be so awsome O.O

  • Kto Polak łapka w górę!

  • OOOOOOO looks like fun

  • This is just plain stupid! Bluetooth??? Come on!!!

  • i love the useless technology of today

  • what kind of witchcraft is this!! object talking? mindblowing

  • To bad theres something coming out called the Atrix 4G...sorry RIM, but IMO, your'e too late:(

  • NVM LOL I JUST SAW A VIDEO ON MULTIMEDIA ON THE PLAYBOOK AND YOU CAN GO TO THE YOUTUBE WEBSITE AND WATCH VIDEO LIKE IF YOU WERE ON YOUR PC. THATS AWSOME

  • all i want to know is if the playbook has a youtube app, i believe that having a youtube app is essential on any device!

  • @affirmativeaction the playbook will have a youtube app, pretty much all tablets have a youtube app

  • so when does playbok have playboy app?

  • lol do you really think all of those email features are special with the playbook...or blackberry...thats called an IMAP mail account....does the SAME thing....lol this thing is going to rock!! hahaha im just playing around

  • why did he have the phone there?

  • @PizzaPiano Because the playbook wont work wihtout the phone around.

  • Some really nice features. Bravo !

  • thats stupid

  • pathetic demo

  • I swear they stole those cards from webOS o_O

  • blackberry...come on guys...can you come up with something NEW? lacking of creativity is the result of microsoft right now.. I hope you will learn something out of it...

  • now put it on a phone and maybe ill get a BB again instead of the iphone 5.

  • i have a bold 9700 and now i want playbook !!!

  • I don't want this, I NEED IT!!! I love my torch!

  • so you guys tell me to buy the playbook becuse it can sync to a blackberry and read email...

  • @gaba922 is this Playbook for gaba922? No it's Playbook for Business

  • @gaba922 thats actually a very good feature, i wish apple did the same for iphone and ipad

  • @mikehill33 I don't think you understood the title of the video...

  • Why would you want video to continue to play in the background? Then you would miss parts of the video. Pointless... But the rest of the operating system looks promising.

  • hahahahahahhaha this is my cousin good job jon

  • The cool part is that you may be able to be on a call on your Blackberry and at the sametime you will be able to view or reply your emails or BBM or Update your calendar on the Playbook, all these activites are synced back and forth to your BB while you are still talking on your BB. This multiplies the productivity as you talk and text at the sametime with one data plan :)

  • @SuperSF49er only 3G/HSPA can carry data and voice at the same time, so you'd have to be in coverage, but agree, it is an awesome feature.

  • Why isn't it out in Canada yet.. I'm dying to get a Playbook. Release it already god

  • This works on wifi you don't need a blackberry phone, but cool for BB users. It's funny how people say they hate BB phones. Hate is a strong word. I hated my iPhone when I had it, it wasn't for me. But I don't hate it now. I couldn't care less about it.

Playbook looks useful for reading email, but I don't think its good for sending. The hole point of a blackberry is you can send rather long emails fast and efficiently. I can't see doing this on a playbook. Still I'm buying one.

  • This would be cool, but I don't really want a Blackberry phone.

  • Normally, I've hated every single Blackberry device just because it doesn't meet my standards, but the Playbook just might be worthy of at least taking a look.

  • If this is to be the main advantage of Playbook for work, then I'm really not impressed!

  • @1brightstar11 where in the video did it say "main advantage" ?

  • Comment removed

  • sure is for business class executives

    not for me =(

  • @stylistar It's for consumers and business users alike.

  • still no word on battery life? com'on guys...

  • @dishtingdish there has been word on battery life, get googling.

  • @alihassan602 The battery life is solid. Haven't any of you read Rim's article concerning the critics who say the battery life will be poor? They said the battery life is going to be solid just as we can expect solid battery life from a blackberry.

  • Gmail does that email synching too lol, wow....

  • For what youre doing, a small netbook would have been better/faster. Or, just respond on the blackberry itself.

  • ok we got enough sneak peaks of the playbook, we want it on shops now!

  • Looking good! I hope the 3G and 4G models get dedicated native email and PIM as well, which would really broaden the BlackBerry brand beyond smart phones.

  • and that's why RIM is awesomeness :D

just wished they'd give me a free playbook XD

thumbs up if u want 1 too :O

  • it looks cool....playbook and a blackberry phone means you can function in life....ipad and iphone mean your useless.... let the fan boys attack LOL

  • @trashers4cashers what ever dick, my Androids do the same thing, this is nothing new....

  • @nathsgames i'm not aware of any android tablets that can tether with and android phones and do that stuff

  • @dwdsquared2 Why the hell would you want to? Androids synch via the cloud, seriously what is the purpose of a direct tether like that? Gmail and Google Docs do it via the cloud on any device :-)

  • @dwdsquared i have a archos 10.1 and i can theter with my phone nokia n8, because my internet contract on my mobile is unlimited, once my archos 10.1 conects to my mobile i can use the internet from it, is also compatibe with my nokia blutooth phones

  • @nathsgames this was new back in 2000 LOL

  • and ??? for what this?

  • Awesome!

  • that looks so nice
