  • I knew they made their fullsize cassette recorders and set top radio's wasn't to sure about their microcassette line. Same as their receiver's and everything else, one year they use one company, next it will be someone else? They receiver line is a good example.

  • If you did you homework you would have discovered this cassette recorder was made by Sangean. All Sangean did was sold it to Radio Shack to put their own name on it. This tape recorder stopped production in 1999. It was also sold under the Sanyo name in Japan, Grundig in the UK and Germany, Panasonic in Singapore and Malaysia.

  • Very nice little recorder. I have that same model, but it needs a new belt. I like how they mentioned AC bias in the features section of the manual!

  • I have a 1987 realistic recorder that I've owned since I bought it at radio shack when I was 11. It still works graet exept the case by the speaker is decombustulated a bit (I think I just invented a new word) and I have the leather case that was thrown in with it too. Its sitting right beside me now, its a model micro 20, so a little newer than yours.

  • I have 2 of that same model, one of them works better than the other, I think I have to clean that switch. I had one when I was 12 but it got lost long ago. that "Terminator" is used for erasing a tape, you just plug it into the mic jack and press record. there is a sticker in the battery compartment that will tell you the month and year it was made. for ex 9A1 means September 1991. I also have that same Olympus recorder!
