  • you speak Korean really well...i can't believe you just study 8 months....

  • men it looks like you are fancy same stuff like me, I am also dreaming of learning Asian language, I was thinking of Japanese and Chinesee. I visited Japan, Hong Kong , Taiwan , Tajland . I love asian stuff, even my girlfriend is HK.

But I am still did not start to learn any language, can't decide which.

  • chinese is awesome, the writting, the way it sounds, how they succed to create long words etc... plus all the country is amazing, so many stuff to see, to learn! its culture too is amazingly interesting! (yeah u prolly figured out im learning chinese xD)

  • its not chinese my dear its korean.... anyeong haseyo.... jae irumeun renzy imnida. jonun seumulnett sal imnida... panggapsupnida

  • Aerikku - Obviously you speak English. It's very clearly stated on this video(in English) that this is Korean language.

Also, if you're learning Chinese, you probably figured out very quickly that this isn't Chinese.

No big deal...just curious why you'd make a statement like that? If you're just randomly speaking about your fascination with Chinese culture/language...fine. It just seems strange and out of place.

  • congradulations; that is a tremendous accomplishment :-)

  • damn that funny to meet the favourite singer on street lolz~ I was hanging around myeong-dong every day and I didnt met any star (or didnt saw any.. maybe I'm blinde) and 2 days after I left Seoul people made pictures from SHINee at myeong-dong .. lol I died lol

btw. your speaking is so good~

I never have time to learn korean language I just can read hangul.. thats not really helpful alot lol

I can learn fast but theres no time to learn for me lol maybe later anytime : d

  • same here. although i can speak it fluently b/c i'm Korean, i can't read nor write hangul.

  • such a pity 'cause hangul is sooooooooooo easy to learn! even easier than or alphabet people might say...

you should start, in a week you will read it easily if you pratice enough, plus you already know the pronunciations i guess.

  • hmm...so u where born in another country?

  • my friend has associates degree in linguistics.. before going to linguist school he knows japanese, english, fiilipino, geman, korean, spanish, french, chavacano.

Some people are gifted with languages and can easily pick up words..

  • whoaa that's cool! i wish i had that gift.

  • Some how people can learn languages fast and some don't. My friend learn to speak hebrew after three months somehow. Some people are just gifted.

  • good job, man....i've been here in korea for almost two years now but i still can't speak korean like you do...congrats man...

as a korean i feel honored that someone put in that much work in respect to the culture.

    thx again

  • wow, you speak Korean very well *^^* 한국말을 굉장히 잘하시네요 ~

  • Man, I feel like I'm very lazy compare to this guy. I'm Korean-American whose parents are Korean but I was born in US. I can speak Korean and English very fluently. Learning Spanish should be a breeze to me. I learned Spanish for 2 years but I didn't learn shit because I was hella damn lazy and only studied to get a grade. Your Korean is VERY GOOD for 8 months. At this rate, you'll master Korean in no time. Keep it up. You're very determined and motivated to learn Korean. You'll succeed.

  • wow ! very good !!

  • ur my hero

  • wow im surprised.

are u into korean women too haha

not that iam one or anything~ (im a guy)

if u can speak japanese, u can get laid so easy its not funny.

oh and im korea, u only sing a part of the song if u say ur going to sing. thats why near 4mins, people were clapping. thats all you need to sing to show off :)

  • Wow! Good job~!!! ^^

  • WOW...only 1 year? Dude, if I just listened, I almost wouldn't notice that you aren't Korean. There almost isn't a noticeable accent. Very good job...lol I should know, I'm Korean =]

  • ooo gud luck hw long did u study korean for?

  • It says in the video description actually, and was a part of my speech :P

8 months at the filming of the video, just over a year now though. :)

  • ru fluent in korean?

  • I wish, but I'm nowhere near fluency yet. I will be soon though :)

  • WOW!! your good!!! good job!!! hey i was wondering when you graduate what are you gona do with your ne knowledge??

  • Not exactly sure yet :P

Possibly diplomatic related work, but we'll see. Just following my passion for now ^_^

  • Good job! I also did a speech then song thing at a Korean school, I don't speak Korean quite as well as u, but I love singing just as much...

  • hi

i am 100% korean so i could maybe help hook u up with korean school but not really sure

  • hey that happened in vancouver? I living in vancouver now and you speaks perfect korean good ;)

  • I'm so proud of you. You were an excellent student. Keep up the good work. ^^

  • You have nice singing voice, too.

  • where did you take korean? i'm trying to find a good place to learn quickly

  • I just went to a Korean language school that offered a class every Saturday. I'm not sure how you can find a school in your area (I'm sure there are some though) but I found it through my Korean pastor's wife.

If you can't attend a school, the next best thing is just doing language exchange. Find someone who is Korean who is learning English and ask them to do language exchange. They'll know what it is. Best of luck to you!

  • good job man

  • veery good! you give me hope that i can learn a lot of languages also

  • 님이 짱드셈 ㅋㅋ

  • Very impressive. (= I like Eru too. ^^

    and u speak korean well!

    cheer up !!

and i wish u have fun to learn korean~

  • the camera is really shaking

  • It's because the camera was zoomed in. It's difficult to maintain a steady shot when you don't have a tripod. I'm thankful to my classmate who filmed it for me though. :D

  • LOL its amynta

    gaawwd.. the famous speech hahahah

  • Good Speech fellow Eru fan! ^^

My favorite part was: 제가 제일 좋아하는 가수는 이루입니다. ^_________^

  • I saw this video today on 2 korean sites when i was searching for Eru videos. I knew it was you immediately when i saw the still picture of the video ^^.

  • No, I didn't add it to any other sites except YouTube. That's pretty surprising to hear, actually. :P Video must travel very quickly nowadays. :D I guess that's good though, eh?

Glad you enjoyed the speech though!

I was speaking really quickly because I was nervous lol. Some parts I'm amazed that my tongue could keep up with all the syllables haha. ;)
