  • It takes about 6 kWh of energy (electricity and natural gas) to refine a gallon of gasoline from crude oil. So that means a gasoline powered car is both gasoline and coal powered! That gallon of gasoline will take you about 22 miles down the road on average. But that 6 kWh of energy used to make the gallon of gasoline could instead take an electric car also about 22 miles down the road! How about we simply stop making gasoline with electricity and just use the energy to power electric cars.

  • Oh, and by the way, I “fuel” my electric car from my solar panels. Can you refine your own gasoline?

  • Coal cars? really? Come on now John, you know better than that.

  • My oh my, what they've done to the Audi R8 Limo is (for lack of a better term) sacrilegious. Wouldn't they have to move that sweet 5.2L to the front of the car?

  • Off the grid John, off the grid.

  • probably to the design language that the chinese are used to it probably is dumb and ugly because all of their cars seem to have silhouette essence to them for which they may consider classic design which has causative purpose to a whole vehicle.

  • In response to the nissan self-healing paint. I could've sworn that infiniti had that in their models here in the US as well. I remember seeing video reviews of the ex35 and several of them talked about how it was the first infiniti with the self--healing paint.

  • Electric cars may run on power from fossil fuel plants, but the flexibility exists to run on clean energy. Also, when you take into account the resources necessary to drill for oil, refine it, then transport it to a gas station, that all releases emissions. Electricity emits nothing from power lines, and the car doesn't emit anything. Electric motors are also extremely efficient, so they get more miles-per-pollutant. If they ran on all coal power, there would still be less emissions than gas.

  • It's not Baojun. it's BunJoung
