Hi I have a problem with my classical Contreras guitar ..shiny lacquer finish Under the right hand rest and I want to remove that hand print ...I used car wax but it seems making the problem little bit bigger but I still have the finishing OK ...Nothing has damaged yet ..I only need to remove that right hand print and what is the recommended safe material to remove that hand print ? what is the name and where to buy ....THANKS
Hello barzoman2, I would try the Player's Kit for $19.95. See our other video we have running for more info. The website is shown in the video opening and ending credits as well as this video you saw. You can buy the product there or just do a search on the net for "guitar scratch remover" and you'll see the website. As long as something isn't wrong with your finish the Player's Kit should get rid of the hand print. I assume the handprint is from perspiration or wear? Thanks.
Hi DylanU12, actually if its a shiny glossy plastic it should work fine. the product does work on other glossy surfaces quite well. You would be best ordering the single containers under Guitar Finish Restore for $9.95 on our main site if you decide to do it, Thanks.
Hi wiskin88, if I'm not mistaken I think the Taylor 110 is a non-glossy finish...the product is meant for high gloss instruments only otherwise it will change the appearance of the non-glossy finish.
Hi DamageIncM .... if you check the website it will give you more details, perhaps more than I can fit in this space here but basically it resurfaces the scratches area at the microscopic level, over & over, until you can no longer see the scratch. As far as your Dunlop question, we don't recommend mixing any products together but I don't see why you cant use one after the other if they aren't mixed. Thanks.
Yes, will work great. Get the Player's Kit though for $19.95. That's the best choice especially on that darker finish. Your Schecter is high gloss finish, right?
hey im think i should get one but will it remove deep scratches on a schecter synyster custom? the reason im not sure is because the finish is really glossy almost mirror like. :/
@spiderVSdogVSyou and you could also use quixx professional scratch remover that stuff works super well it even removes scratches that are so bad you can see the wood (white scratches on a black guitar) and it works really well on blemishes too.
Yes you can use it on transparent glossy finishes. Player's Kit is recommended for black finishes for best results, but you can use the single polish jars also.
where do u buy this, i scratched my gibson les pauls custom when i first bought it because i was so excited and it is really noticible i hate my self for that
Hi, your guitar should have a high gloss finish to use this product. Check the site for photos of what high gloss guitars look like if you aren't sure, see the View Tab...
You can try rubbing harder, or try our Player's Kit. Sometimes not all the scratches are going to come out, but you should see some improvement. Its not going to remove deeper scratches.
Hey i have a peavey predator international series and im thinking of keeping it just getting new pickups and fixing the scratches can i get the blend that you used there? please
Thats incredible, i was wondering i have a new gibson sg standard and i have a few scratches on the back control panel plate. i think there only light ones just like the ones in your video, could you please tell me what polish it is your using?
Hi Jim, I'm using the polish in our Player's Kit which is the dual blend set. You can request that polish alone or just say that you have a Gibson SG & want to remove scratches like in the video & we'll get you the right blend. The back panel cover has to be the high gloss shiny plastic NOT the dull non-shiny plastic in order for it to work, because the polish is meant to work on high-gloss surfaces. Also see the newer video we uploaded that deals with even deeper scratches. Thanks ! Jason
Hi, there's several in the beginning of the clip where the guy points at the bottom of the screen by the guitar's bridge. If you still can't see it you can try selecting the "watch in high quality" and they're easier to see, at least until the end of the demo when they are removed from the guitar after polishing. Thanks.
hello will it work on my alhambra 2c?

Hi lekve2, yes, if its high gloss finish, the product is safe to use. Also see the vid for our Player's Kit.

So... if it doesn't cover up or fill anything, WHAT DOES it do?
It just takes the scratches and you wipe it away with a cloth and the cloth holds the scratches? :P
Myself I use Dunlop Carnauba Wax, which helps for scratches a little bit.
They DO advertise it as "hiding" the scratches though, not as a remover.
But that one's more useful for cleaning, "oiling" and polishing a finish.
I wonder what this stuff would really do to scratches I have worn onto guitars though...
