I like what you've tried to do, but also feel that the music used by Lyn and Gold is far more effective though. The cut to black really works, however! Also, in pedant mode- you've used the TARDIS landing effect for the TARDIS taking off! ;)
I think the slight pause was amazingly effective, although I feel, as Shifterred said, like the ending was too angry, and this would turn the feeling of regret and pity into one of revenge, and portrays a 'this isn't over' message.
I quite like it. It makes the ending seem a bit darker, though. Rather than just the Doctor's sadness, using "Gallifrey" for the ending scene almost causes a glimmer of anger around the edges, as if the Doctor can hardly keep his sadness from exploding into fierce rage.
It's an interesting idea and well done, but I feel that the original score was utterly perfect for the scene. It was sombre and fitted the mood like a glove.
Really? That's sad. You've put a piece of work out there, why do people have to be rude etc? You have a certain view of the scene and I think the fact that you went to the trouble to interpret that by adding different music (and using the 'Gallifrey' music was a well-thought out choice) should be applauded. Ignore any idiots, I look forward to future videos from you. *tips hat*
I don't think it works very well. Maybe Boe? Because this song is all about action. The Doctor is upset, not ready for adventure. I think a really sad song would work best!
Isn't that a Torchwood episode. Doesn't matter, the Cybermen r back and we get an xmas special set in the past and featuring a major villain instead of a new one (although I do like the xmas villains, go Sycorax)
Honestly unless they show up at the end of an episode, you could just use the names of the big Doctor Who villians in the title, you'd know that they were in it from the preview anyway. Its like in the preview for Bad Wolf in 2005, the episode was really good but it could've been even better if they hadn't had the Daleks in the next time oreview for it. It would of been a bigger surprise
having said that, when the title for army of ghosts was revealed, me nd a mate drew up a few theories about what the ghosts were. when we saw the preview at the end of fear her, we crossed off the daleks, but we never counted on them coming out of the void sphere! when i saw the lens view of rose mickey and singh i actually started muttering "oh my god" until the credits had finished! that episode to me, was one of the biggest twists of the revived series!
The Sun had spoiled The Daleks returning a year ago, but they did a very clever way of hyping up the void ship as containing The Beast and not The Daleks (at least that's what I got when The Doc dropped the line "hell" when describing The Void)
I actually really like this edit; I know it was an emotional scene with the Doctor on his own again, but the change of music added a bit of hope to it rather than being entirely depressing. Especially when it crescendoed as he raised his head; like you said in your comment, he's starting a new chapter.
That was fantastic! I thought that bit of music should have been when Davros is shoutin at the doc calling him the destroyer of worlds!!! But it works just as well there

This song is about anything but action. It's about Gallifrey, the Doctors home, and emphasizes the fact that he is alone in the universe

yea that worked perfectly

Is The Name Of The Xmas Ep " Return of The Cybermen" Or Are They Just Saying The Cybermen Will Return
weezoedee10 3 years ago
I think they just mean the cybermen are returning.
drdalek 3 years ago
I think Return of the Cybermen was the name of a Tom Baker story, so it probably won't be that.
227060 3 years ago
that was: revenge of the cybermen
TimelordsRevenge 3 years ago
Oh really? Sorry. Return of the Cybermen is a really Doctor Whoish title.

Its like the old series where it used 2 b "Day of the Daleks" and u wonder "Oh, who's gonna b in that then?" Would be a good title though
