  • great demo thanks!

  • Cute. I may have to try this. ;-)

  • @stall617 0 thank you for watching- let me know you do it!

  • This is a good demonstration with the Pink Scarf rather than Black, it show what you are doing. Thanks...

  • @NaturalHair2014 - thank you! Are you going to try it?

  • i wonder wut my hair would look like if i did this? im a red head nd a ginger so im white with pale skin red hair nd freckles!! please tell me if it would do anything to my hair!

  • @123savannah321 It depends on the texture of your hair... If its naturally straight and oily, it probably won't have much of an effect. If it's dryer or frizzier, you might have a better effect.

  • @Libra0Rising - the young lady that initially did the style had straight/relaxed hair. It gave her hair a beach wave type of look.

  • @NylaCoils But relaxed hair is still naturally dry and it isn't the same texture as naturally straight hair. I've know girls who have straight, very oily hair and they can't get anything to stick. I remember telling one of them how I got my hair to twist out and she said her hair was too flat and oily to do that.

  • Thanks for this video; I may have to try this on my daughter's thick, coarse, very curly hair. By the way, if you cut satin strips on the bias, they will not fray.

  • @laurelkhpr - Hope this works out on her #naturalhair. thank you for the tip! I will have to try it.

  • @bonniegirl11- You can also by ribbon on a spool. I bought 3 for my hair. Got them from Walmart for about 5 total.

  • What's the benefit of using the satin strips vs just doing a regular braidout?

  • @bonniegirl11 @bonniegirl11 - On my blog, I included a picture that shows the difference. Sometimes seeing is believing. At least, in my case.

  • @NylaCoils - I just took mine down. You're right...there is a difference. I really like it! One quick question though, is there a certain type of satin material I should use? The one I got from the fabric store yesterday night is now in shambles. It became very stringy and hard to take out. I can't see doing this often if I have to keep spending $5 on one-time use fabric. LOL...

  • @bonniegirl11 If you cut your fabric on the bias, it will not fray. Hope this helps!

  • good video , good explanation !!

  • I think I'm gonna try this tomorrow. Thanks for letting us know how it's done. :)

  • @Summyr1988 i please do a video of it!! I would love to see this on your hair!!

  • Thanks for sharing. I'll have to try this. You mentioned the loose threads on the satin, besides appearance do the loose threads affect the hair or hairstyle?

  • @ChcltQueen -Thank you for stopping by. The threads don't affect the hair or the hairstyle, at all! This is actually my signature style. I use those same pieces of fabric shown in this video.

  • Hey Nyla! You go girl!!!!! You're a video pro ;)

  • Hey Raven, Thanks for stopping by. I cut the strips about an inch wide!. I used about 15 strips of scarf. I hope that helps!

  • How many inches wide did you cut per strip on your scarf? Thanks for the tut btw.

  • @raven721m - sorry I am just now seeing your ?. I cut each strip about 1 inch wide.
