I saw a show on animal planet about two tiger siblings that were released there and learned to stalk and ambush pretty efficiently. the last epidsode of that show showed them going on a "killing spree" and managed to kill something like 20 wildabeast in one hunt... its pretty impressive
well they were fenced in so the tigers would eventually catch them. the prey had nowhere to run. but there is a tiger conservation program called save china's tigers where there is authentic training. the same thing happens but it is REAL

Tigers are amazing creatures, yes this is from the documentary 2 brothers. In my opinion if they had taken there a tiger born and raised in the wild, it would have killed the buffalo. Tigers are kings and queens. @GaleZMe They have not been released. They are in a large enclosure. These are tigers from China, part of a wilding project. Apparently, a reserve is being readied for them in China.. Once it is ready, they will be relocated in their native place. They have apparently gone extinct in the wild in China and this project is part of plan to save the species.

I saw a show on animal planet about two tiger siblings that were released there and learned to stalk and ambush pretty efficiently. the last epidsode of that show showed them going on a "killing spree" and managed to kill something like 20 wildabeast in one hunt... its pretty impressive

@TheBuffaloKiller im not sure which refuge i saw on tv. two brother/sister cubs were raised there and and were taught to hunt. they wouldnt hunt at first cause they were being fed. they had to starve the to get them to realize hunting meant eating. it was a pretty impressive hunt. one tiger chased the herd of animals toward the other tiger which was hiding and waiting. it was strange to see how "strategic" it was

@BioBleed Bullshit. Lion vs Tiger = Lion wins almost always. When lions and tigers mate, if the lion is the male, the offspring are very large and powerful. If the tiger is the male, the offspring are stunted and born with dwarfism. A lioness and male tiger almost never mate. The lioness always seem to be just "too much" for the tiger to deal with. But a male lion and female tiger will almost always mate.
Genetically, the lion proves to be superior and stronger as well.

No cases of Tigers killing Lions, but i have read of 2 cases where a Lion did kill a Tiger. Most recent was in an enclosure, the female Siberian surprised the Lion by jumping down towards it and the Lion attacked and killed the Tiger. Other case is crule, and a set up fight.
