1600 views! Woohoo! Just a word of advice for anyone else wanting to fly a falcon...they are not Harris hawks, so don`t try and fly them like a Harris.
Notoriously delicate. Id prefer a bird with hybrid vigour and the natural weather hardiness of a native bird. Thats one thing my lost falcon didnt have. Damn expensive too. Id want a bird that is more manouverable and will fly well to the lure and for that reason id like something with lanner (maybe pere-lanner) in but i do like your pere-saker. Hes a goodlooking bird. Is he a high flier?
high flyer! all you see is a black dot mate... but i totally agree with what you said about the gyr. i can put video's on here of the gyr and the gyr/peregrine but they have footage of them entering should that be okay you fink?
I love watching other ppls videos. Ive only just got the hang of it. Does your p-s hit stuff with a stoop or does he chase? He sounds very reliable. What weight does he hunt at?
beutiful bird ever thought of investing in a gyr?... my friend has a gyr/peregrine tiercel absolute nutcase of a bird takes gulls and large feathered quarry brillantly
Think ill wait till im a bit more experienced but yes, of course id love one! If i lose a falcon in 6 weeks i have a lot more to learn than i thought.
