This is all very fine, but you know the part of the tut where they say to make sure the background is transparent when you upload the PNG file with a transparent background in photoshop. What happens when the uploaded background of the PNG file is not transparent but white. Where did I go wrong? HELP!!!

Well i can conform it also works with that texture enhancer (freebee tool) where you can import 12 pictures for the price of one in one file.. keeping scaleing quality vs pixels in mind. ;;)

This is a good way too, but here's a much more easier way to take the shot of your stuff: Make a big flat box and texture it with blank. Set it's color to something different than your object or av has. Now apply the Fullbright and place the box as a background of you or your stuff. And now it's all up to you, wich way you choose to take your shot. Finally you just have to take the Magic Wand Tool, set it to 1, select backg and delet it. It'll be pixelated! But you can smooth it i hope ;)

OK, now that is a really cool and useful tutorial. Everything I've seen to date uses 32 bit TGA's with an alpha channel. Part of me wonders why this wasn't done before, but part of me says hurrah if I can make walls with window textures put into them, and delete out the window panes who cares! Excellent tutorial, and you're really stepping things up with your recent load of tutorials.

You should note users, like me, who are using Adobe ImageReady, the "web-friendly" minimal version of Photoshop, can export to PNG using an exploit - File > Export > Animation Frames... , and there by selecting PNG. :-)

Hehe reference to the "You suck at Photoshop" series in the beginning? :D I've watched those videos here recently. Very well choreographed with the miserable life story intertwining the tutorial while learning some things.

And here I was bothering with TGA and alpha channels like all other transparency tutorials told to so far. This is great to know and lossless small file compression as well makes it only advantages.
