Did you see close-up pictures of the compressor wheel before you bought this? It's pretty obvious that something impacted the inducer by the chipping that you can see in the video. Someone probably ran it without a filter and when the wheel spins that fast even the smallest object can do big damage.
@denny1213 My pte6262 dual ball bearing piece had about 200miles on it brand new and i had to send it back because so much shaft play it started scraping the housing on the inlet. But.... I do love the dam turbo thing spools and performs like a beast hopefully i'll pop it on this weekend and not have anymore problems with the dam thing. Precision did fix it for free
Precision originally said $185 for a standard rebuild, so he refunded me $100. After precision open it up, they found the bearing housing damage, cost me $350 + shippings to get this rebuilt. What a dick, he knew the turbo was f*up but you live and learn.
@denny1213 that sucks man :(, I recently bought a a new blowoff valve from some guy on ebay claiming it was a real type-s. it gets to my door and it was the cheapest piece of shit. I paid over $150 for it
ha ha ha you said shaft play:D
