@jinulty AN INVERTER WOULD JUST BURN UP. A GRID TIE INVERTER ON THE OTHER HAND, IS WHAT IS NEEDED FOR THE WALL CIRCUIT. I'M NOT SURE WHAT IS MEANT BY HF KIT THOUGH.

THE GRID TIE INVERTER WOULD WORK AS LONG AS THE INPUT VOLTAGE IS NOT EXCEEDED.

@DIYMakerman THESE FRAMES ARE A BIT FLIMSY. BUT I FIGURE THEY WOULD BE BEST MOUNTED ON THE ROOF. BUT THEY WOULDN'T BE GOOD ENOUGH TO BE USED AS THE MAIN ROOF COVERING. ALTHOUGH THEY SAY THE GLASS IS TEMPERED, I AM INCLINED TO COVER THE PANELS WITH LEXAN SHEET WITH A GAP FOR AIR. THIS WOULD PUT MY MIND AT EASE IN THE EVENT OF HEAVY HAIL STORMS.

BURNIE IS A BERNZOMATIC 0311, AND HAS BURNED MY FANGERS TWICE.

ELMOORE IS A RADIO SHACK 01A05. IT WAS USED TO SOLDER THE WIRES FROM THE STATOR OF THE AXIAL FLUX WIND TURBINE TO THE BOLTS. RADIO SHACK DOESNT SELL ELMOORES ANYMORE.

THE REAL MAKER OF THAT ONE IS IRODA... THE MODEL IS SOLDERPRO 50. AND IT IS AVAILABLE.

EVEN WHEN EXPLAINING A SITUATION TO A SERVICE COMPANY, YOU HAVE TO EXPLAIN IT IN THREE DIFFERENT WORDINGS BEFORE THEIR ATTENTION GETS SYNCED WITH YOURS. Love how you soldered and insulated the wires.

My father just had an issue with his 93 Dakota last Thursday... no spark, or gas. After looking at the wire harness I could see why. A splice coming out of the relay box (under the hood) was shot. They 4 wires spliced together with just a crimp... which had rotted, wires feed ECM . Finally got to use some of my heat shrinks from my electrical kit. :) Crimp they used for feed going to alternator was also shot, $9 for just the crimp and heat wrap.

The hook up and unhook seams backwards as we do the opposite when working with car audio as not to burn out a unit when it tries to make a ground on its own.

@AReptileMan YA NEGATIVE GROUNDING CASES ON A NEGATIVE GROUNDED CAR, MAKES IT VERY HARD TO INSTALL WHILE THE POSITIVE IS CONNECTED. ARCHING AND SPARKING ALMOST CONTINUALLY DURING INSERTION OF DEVICES CAN DAMAGE THE PROTECTION DIODES AND POSSIBLY THE COMPONENTS IN THE UNIT. BUT WHEN YOU DO AUTOMOTIVE REPAIR YOU ALWAYS DISCONNECT THE NEGATIVE CABLE TO THE BATTERY BEFORE WORKING ON THE VEHICLE. THANKS FOR THE HEADS UP ON CAR AUDIO. CONFUSING ISN'T IT. I WILL REMEMBER THAT.

@TheDarkeJ IT CAME FROM NORTHERN TOOL. THEY HAD IT FOR 300 BUCKS, BUT IT WAS CHEAPER ON THEIR WEBSITE. SO THEY LOWERED IT TO THE WEB PRICE. I TRIED FOR LESS, BUT IT DIDNT HELP. THE WATTAGE OF THE ONE AT H.F. IS 45 WATTS. THE WATTAGE OF THIS ONE IS 60 WATTS. I'VE SEEN 3.5 AMPS SO FAR, BUT THEY CLAIM 4 AMPS. 4 X 15 VOLTS IS 60 WATTS. BUT THE CHARGE CONTROLLER STOPS WHEN THE BATTERY GETS TO 14.25 . 14.25 X 4 = 57 WATTS OR, 14.25 X 3.5 = 49 WATTS. THAT'S THE BEST I'VE SEEN SO FAR. I LIKE IT.

@TheBillythekid2010 MINE ARE AMORPHOUS PANELS TOO. I HAD A SMALL ONE YEARS AGO THAT LASTED A YEAR AND A HALF. THE FILM STARTED TO COME OFF THE BACK. I'M LOOKING TO SEE IF THERE IS SOMETHING I CAN DO TO KEEP THAT FROM HAPPENING AGAIN.

@wtam69 THANK YOU FOR THE APPRECIATIONS. I USED TO BUILD FIRST ARTICLES. FIRST ARTICLES ARE THE NEXT THING BUILT AFTER THE PROTOTYPE. THE BUGS ARE WORKED OUT, AND THEN THE PERFECT, NO TOLERANCE, COSMETICALLY CORRECT, AESTHETICALLY PLEASING ITEM GOT BUILT BY ME. AND THE FACTORY USED IT AS A GUIDE FOR THE PRODUCTION FLOOR. THEN I HAD TO PLAY QUALITY CONTROL MAN, AND NEWBY TRAINING. I USED A PAIR OF 200 DOLLAR STRIPPERS FOR STRIPPING THE WIRES THOUGH. LOL. AND I HAD AC IN MY ROOM. LOL.
