I'm a wrestler, I'm strong and I got a fair amount of muscles but I can't do more than 20 push ups sometimes even 10. I'm gonna do the book thing but intensify it a bit. Haha.I know how to workout hard. If wrestling teaches one thing its discipline.

@scoot24925 You should feel your abs & glutes tense up as you perform it, if you don't, your butt is too high. The length of your arms is irrelevant.
Also, this method makes the push up easier, which defeats the purpose. The endurance portion of a push-up comes from holding your bodyweight at the top & bottom of the movement. If you're resting on your chest, it's counterproductive.
As someone already said, dips will help you get better at push-ups, as will losing any extraneous body fat.

If you cant do a mans pushups your should try the girl pushups, by having your knees on the ground and your legs crossed. If you can't do that you should try it on a wall standing up, about 3 feet away.
I can now do 5-8 push ups with out the board games.. and 15 with the board games.. Before this video I wasn't able to do 1. Thanks.. My goal is 25 with out the boards near the end of Sep.

check out what gynecomastia is online, i had it from 11 till 19 and HAD to get surgery to get it removed. it helps without the breast tissue, physically and psychologically

@burgersmash33 Do a push up position but not moving.. that helps you build a strong core and back. hold it for like 2 or 3 min, or just do 1 minute i assure you you'll feel it burning.. and if you can do it do a side one with your forearm pressing against the floor while raising your other arm.

@I3arrageElf based on experience i think it will, i didnt use to work out and i was deffinetly one of the tallest where as my friends that do, stop growing but im basing this on when i was 14, your 16 now depending on how long it took you it will affect your growth which you will not get back, i suggest you stick with cardio.

Just a tip, do it slowly....I read up somewhere if you don't give yourself a break and aren't used to it, it will take your muscles a really long time to heal after a hardcore workout. ;) I'd say every other day.
@ph15h anything that will keep you up but i am stuck in a situation where i can not do one but ive started and ive seen a big diffrence to how many i can do, i read in an article its best if you stay on your knees and do it, make sure you use your upper body and not your hips, once you cna do 10 of them straight, your ready for normal once, im still on my knees but i will let you know my progress in 2 weeks time if i can find you.
I can do 115 regular push ups, but from personal experience, its better you guys give your push ups more "variation". I do "diamond" push ups, clapping push ups, "slow" 3-5 second push ups or push ups where I place my feet on top of a chair. There is no way I could do 115 in all of these variations, but the point is, I try to work as many muscles as I can. Once you guys get "creative", you can increase the number of "normal" push ups you can do in a fraction of the time.

i once did 35 had 5 min rest another 20 10 min rest another 20 5 min rest and last i do 15. but i do them everyday. around 80 - 100 in 20 - 30 min range. im trying to improve to do at least 50 of them. is this a good way to improve???

You can also do a wall push-up, which means you stand against the wall and do what he is doing until you get to be strong enough....

its all good but your not supposed to lock your elbows in the middle of the pushup. you get better results if u bend them not lock them. :)

What is the best speed to perform push ups ? Slow controlled movements or more explosive movements? I want to get cut but add mass too.

i just started to work on my upperbody strength i used to dopush ups on my knees i have improved alot i can do 20 i also used a bench press when i was in school but just do them on your knees until u can do real ones

what i would do is get some push up bars m8 its alot easier to alot of people because when ur wrists are flat it hurts more there for makeing ur arms shake

I'm a very skinny male (5'11 120lbs) and trying to get some larger arms. I just started pushups recently, did 3 sets of 10, now my arms feel very weak. so should I wait a day before I go again? Thanks for video, I will try this technique and visit your site

try sit ups with your arm's crossed against your chest, you wont feel much strain but if you do 20 a day you'll feel a difference in no time.

When you work out... do people only burn fat from the area they're working out, or all over the body?
For instance, if I'm doing push ups... am i only burning fat from my arms, or from my whole body?

i once did 35 had 5 min rest another 20 10 min rest another 20 5 min rest and last i do 15. but i do them everyday. around 80 - 100 in 20 - 30 min range. im trying to improve to do at least 50 of them. is this a good way to improve???
