  • He is adorable, but PLEASE change his cage. "These cages can be bad news because they can be detrimental to a parrot's psychological health.Birds are v. intelligent, but many have driven themselves CRAZY climbing around and around cylindrical cages, feeling like they're never getting anywhere.Giving a bird an angular cage gives them reference points to different locations in their territories; thus, helping them feel safe, and secure."

And there are more reasons they should not be used.

  • @Argusia

thank you for your concern about his "ROUND" cage but he does NOT live in this all day, he is a free flight lovebird and has access to a whole house, this is NOT a cage to him it is a retreat, a place to eat and nap... Agree its not a cage for a bird to live in 24/7 Jellybean spends many hours with me MY whole home is his cage

  • Oh, OK :)

I always worry when I see inadequate cages because so many birds stay in the for long hrs every day.

Glad to hear that your little one is fully flighted. So important for our birds.
