hi there, can anyone please help me, i'm trying to export 3dsmax model to vue 8 . i exported it as .3ds file but when i open it in vue8, it prompts something about dds file cannot open so the materials (colors, textures, etc.) cannot be imported, only the model. how do i export it so that the materials are also included in vue 8? please help me, thanks in advance.
Good news (well, at least in my tests) - Vue 9 can utilize shader 4 with a GTX 460 (and up) card. Lovely viewport rendering, nice and fast.
latest update works with Lightwave 10 (as well as the other host programs) but doesn't utilize LW's VPR iterative renderer (I didn't think it would - but I checked just to make sure)
2:30 "..and some other movies." while the screen shows the scorpion gunship from avatar, which was a quite revolutionairy ;) and successful "other movie"???
I recently got this program, and it's awesome! But I have one problem: how do I make a movie with it? There's a button where you make a movie by making a path for a camera, but it doesn't work. I went through the steps before the path part, but when it gets to the part where you make a path, I can't! No matter what I do from the instructions, (like it says left click to add the path, right click to pan, etc.) but it won't do anything except for panning. I have a Mac and the version is Pioneer.
I WANT THIS PROGRAM!! XD for now in 3d i just have blender -_-.. and because im on laptop.. and dont have ubds mouse ... i cant do the majority of the fonction...
I have no problem understanding what he's saying..
And I'm a American too boot!
The key to understanding what he's saying is that you must first understand the accent of which he's speaking, He's clearly Russian and hearing that accent before, I can now compensate accordingly.
Big up Vlad! If he had a better mic and the sound recording was improved there is no problem understanding him, ok it sounds a bit comedy but that just adds to his charm
No, he is very hard to understand. I have excellent speakers, I even tried using my headphones and it just is very hard to understand. Poor recording and the presenter does not speak clearly.
I wish my Vue 8.5 would work to run Shader 4 on my GTX 460. It's all Nvidia's fault; the driver is what crashes when Vue goes "ooh, YOU can handle Shader 4, can't you, big boy" and the GTX460 goes "uhh err... well, yeah, I sure ca... errkk *choke*" Maybe Vue 9 will help this situation.
Though I respect this mans abilities with this product. The sound quality combined with his accent make the video difficult to follow. I understand that he is one of, if not THE premier Vue gurus. This video does not do him justice, through no fault of the video maker. I appreciate the chance to get a look at the new version. Filming in a crowded, and loud convention hall is hard for anyone. I think you did a great job given the venue. Cheers.
Vladimir Chopine is one of the most sophisticated Vue people out there. It's always easy to judge without showcasing some of your own talent, isn't it?
They picked him because he knows what he's doing and is better than most who speak English in their own native tongue, instead of picking someone who only speaks English, has no skills with the software whatsoever, uses the only language they know to complain, and relies on other people to be excited to decide whether they themselves are going to be excited or not. Waste stupid comments somewhere else and maybe learn English better so you can understand when other people speak it.
Incorporate this into Minecraft.

@Shiznaft1 Point taken :-)
I know the audio is bad, I didn't have a proper mic for my camera with me and the built in mic pretty much sucks, sorry :-(

@Daniel1705 No worries, I just appreciate the video since I didn't get a chance to go this year. These are great!

@withstrengthenedwing
Totally agree. And by the way, you don't go to Siggraph to hear Oxford English spoken, but rather to see some software demonstrations.
