There's also the problem of the self-fulfilling prophecies. Are you also absolutely certain that Jeremiah and Isaiah were written before Jesus' birth? If they were, then why the incredible lack of detail? Isaiah 53 could be applied to damn near every religious martyr in history. Forgiveness was a theme in Judaism long before Christ was born, so Jeremiah 31 become obscure.
In addition, your goalpost shift is a total non sequitur. I was knee-deep in ICR's so-called "creation science" for nearly two decades. It took years to deprogram myself. Believe me, it wasn't easy. I, like so many, had no real science education and was ripe for their systematic indoctrination. After opening my mind to the possibility that the earth could be more than 10,000 years old, the train had left the station! ICR videos like this one represent well their pseudoscientific approach to the so-called "controversy".

The universe as a whole is a closed system. If there is a set amount of matter and energy, then it is finite. It may be really big, but it is still a closed system.
Also, it still applies to open systems, the only way it doesn't quite work in open systems is when there is an energy converter mechanism. Something has to convert the energy to a higher more usable state, the only known mechanism that is known, is living cells.

"Information" can easily be created by genetic processes. A famous example is nylonase. A gene got duplicated (redundant information), and then a single mutation caused a so called frame shift, resulting in more than 2000 bits of new information in that sequence.

Actually it personifies Objectivity in the sense that that which is objectively true is presented by the Dodos. That which is subjective is the personal opinions of creationists.

Sounds like statistical thermodynamics to me. While having many possibilities, everything still happens for a reason. We are only one example of one thing that works.

Even if we are to buy that our complexity implies a designer. There is absolutely NOTHING to suggest through EMPIRICAL EVIDENCE that ANY of the creation stories from any RELIGION is the method of our coming in to existence. Again that is a call to rely on FAITH rather than the scientific method. This is absolutely HYPOCRITICAL if you are to try to use science againt itself!
Not really. Man created these false doctrines and "theories" so that their man-made sciences could help with satisfying their consciousness. The "empirical evidence" is in the bible. There's a reaon for "faith"; what do you think the point of it is? If one were to visually "see" God, then why would it necessary to have faith? Think about it. By the way, everything that man has thought up in regards to science was ALREADY mentioned in the Bible LONG before man started experimenting with it.
For example:
Atomic Fission is mentioned in 2 Peter 3:10. Oceanic Currents are mentioned in Psalms 8:8 and Isaiah 43:16. The Hydrologic Cycle is mentioned in Job 36:27 and Amos 9:6. The Jet Stream is mentioned in Ecclesiastes 1:6, 7. Dinosaurs are versed in Job 40-41 and Psalms 74:14 and Innumerable Stars are versed in Jeremiah 33:22.
Just takes research. You see, in the beginning there was God; nothing else. Our inferior brains can't conceive of such a thing. How can man, with such limited mental capacity, understand anything so vastly superior? He cannot! This is much of the problem. Man is so filled with vanity & pride that he actually believes he can understand such things. Therefore, he rejects what is true and develops his own ideas about God, which tend to pacify his inability to understand that which he cannot...
For you, it doesn't take research. In fact research is kryptonite to religion. For you all it takes is a centuries old manuscript written by bronze-age, uneducated sheep herders. That's your only evidence of a god. And what does morality have to do with evolution? Just another Red Herring.

If you are willing, please have a read on Isaiah 53, Isaiah 55, and compare Psalm 69:21 (gave me vinegar for my thirst) with John 19:28-29. Also Jeremiah 31:31-34. Ezekiel 36:26-27. If you classify them as vague and unspecified predictions, then I will say no more.

There's also the problem of the self-fulfilling prophecies. Are you also absolutely certain that Jeremiah and Isaiah were written before Jesus' birth? If they were, then why the incredible lack of detail? Isaiah 53 could be applied to damn near every religious martyr in history. Forgiveness was a theme in Judaism long before Christ was born, so Jeremiah 31 become obscure.

However, Isaiah (or, more accurately, the author of the book Isaiah) postulated a flat Earth. A circle is flat. Hebrew cosmogeny involved a disc-shaped Earth under a crystal dome (the "firmament").

I was knee-deep in ICR's so-called "creation science" for nearly two decades. It took years to deprogram myself. Believe me, it wasn't easy. I, like so many, had no real science education and was ripe for their systematic indoctrination. After opening my mind to the possibility that the earth could be more than 10,000 years old, the train had left the station! The universe as a whole is a closed system. If there is a set amount of matter and energy, then it is finite. It may be really big, but it is still a closed system.
Also, it still applies to open systems, the only way it doesn't quite work in open systems is when there is an energy converter mechanism. Something has to convert the energy to a higher more usable state, the only known mechanism that is known, is living cells.

It would be a natural jump that any object with water (comets) can induce further building of the amino acids into more complex molecules. 2. Evolution has TONS of evidence. Like believing in the theory of gravity, or theory of relativity, much evidence points to it. But reproducing results in a testable lab is hard to do. just wait another thousand years!

@iswhatyoubelievetrue If i remember correctly... an amino acid is an organic molecule. not sure about the exact chemical structure but the C would have N and O bonds.its not a very low probability, its a common thing to find amino acids in older nebulas.
Evolution does a terrific job when it comes to relative dating. for ex: you dont find dinosaurs bones with human bones EVER. It shows different geological and guide fossils giving you a great idea of what is older or younger than what.

A simple thought experiment: If that were true, we should find all kinds of animal and plant fossils more or less randomly distributed in different strata. But we don't. The strata contain distinct groups. The deeper the layer, the earlier the life forms we find.
You NEVER find a modern animal together with long extinct species!

It was said that scientists attempt to use evolutionary thinking outside of biological evolution. Stating that this is a lie may or may not be accurate depending on how the 2 statements are meant. I have used evolutionary/selective algorithms/simulations to quickly solve problems that would otherwise take very long, as have many others in their research. Natural selection-like algorithms are useful in solving a wide variety of problems. Though DIRECTLY applying BIOLOGY to NON-BIOLOGY is silly.

"Information" can easily be created by genetic processes. A famous example is nylonase. A gene got duplicated (redundant information), and then a single mutation caused a so called frame shift, resulting in more than 2000 bits of new information in that sequence.

it's a strong piece of evidence supporting Evolution (although not one that suggests you could go from an ameoba to a chordate, which would probably take more than one mutation).
This was part of the wording used on dodos example of self sustaining virus, according to the researchers who studied helacyton gartieri. Again, another admitted example of micro evolution. They also require feeding and cleansing by human agent. Not a very good candidate for macro evolution.

He also thinks that by substituting the word mutation, for duplication events cause by mutations, offers a legitimate semantic argument. Not enough space to point out the rest of his statements. Evolutionary development theory will have its place in biology one day as king, and probably replace Darwinism, or extend the synthesis, but it still comes up short explaining macro evolutionary processes.

technically, the phrase "in the beginning" is meaningless since it applied to something that "is" prior to the existence of "earth and heavens" - it is an implication that there was a "beginning" of "something" before "something".

For example:
Atomic Fission is mentioned in 2 Peter 3:10. Oceanic Currents are mentioned in Psalms 8:8 and Isaiah 43:16. The Hydrologic Cycle is mentioned in Job 36:27 and Amos 9:6. What I AM saying, however, is that you "youtubers" that get on here & state your opinions about your beliefs NEVER provide substantial evidence & proofs that can BACK UP your arguments, whether it be on Youtube, or on a chalkboard in an alleyway in a city or wherever it may be. The information IS out there. But you need to be critical of where and why that information is out there. If you want real scientific info, then you go to a reputable scientific site. If, on the other hand, you want religiously-based-to-fit-a-religious-text "science", then you go to a site like Answers in Genesis and have a good laugh.

You all say the identical things over & over; I can always predict what is going to be said & THAT is what's laughable. Just as you state that the "information is out there," I can also do the same & say, "Well, Creationist information is out there too." -- But, what's the point? One comes here to debate but one can't backup their beliefs because they KNOW that Evolution is a fad & man-made falsitivity.
The thing is, I can back up my beliefs with TRUTHS! The question is: Can you? Just test me.

Either way, I respect your beliefs, m'friend. However, "evolution" is, indeed, a "belief system" that was created by MAN (merely like a false theology).

evolution was created by man, just like every other fruitfull part of science - you haven't explored science; if you did your homework, you would know that evolution and abiogenesis are separate parts of inquiry.

That means 10 multiplied by itself 160 times, a number too large even to articulate. THUS, everything should be in the process of changing into something else, with literally hundreds of millions of half-developed fish trying to become amphibious, & reptiles halfway transformed into birds, & mammals looking like half-apes or half-men. Now everybody knows that instead of finding those billions of confused family fossils, the scientists have found exactly the opposite!
