  • I hate how it cuts off....

  • Suddenly I just had to listen to this song <3

  • THE MOST PERFECT SONG...

  • i like both versionss

  • "This he said to me : the greatest thing... you'll eeever leeaarn... is just to looove... and be loooved... in... re... turn."

  • THANK YOU!

  • @BlackoutRK Doctor Who for the win!!

  • I love this musical and this song starts it out perfectly. His voice is so magical, his tone so dreamlike with a hint of dispare

  • I love this version so much. I wish John Leguizamo had done this version for the official soundtrack.

  • The best song from the whole movie and with the most beautiful quote:

"The greatest thing you'll ever learn is just to love and be loved in return."

. There are so many emotions in it and I just love it! This version is MUCH better than David Bowie's.

  • Very beautiful... yes, there is a dalek but, very beautiful.. ;)

  • Oh my God I love this song so much...

  • I come in peace but I think the title means that it's the original version that is played in the film. Not the David Bowie version that is on the soundtrack. Not that it's an original song, just the original version from the film.

  • sad, like the movie

  • Um . . . Nature Boy is NOT an "original song from Moulin Rouge." Good try, though.

  • @scrumper77 Um YES I IS! Look it up. its the first song in the soundtrack....

  • @patrixX97 This is a standard from Nat King Cole, dumbass. The one in Moulin Rouge is a COVER which means it's NOT AN ORIGINAL SONG. Look it up.

  • @scrumper77 actually......the original was sung by Eden Ahbez......just sayin'.......

  • @lemuriansoul actually...... the original was written by Eden Ahbez for Nate Cole who sang it.... just sayin'

  • @LDDVenom

Nat King Cole was his name, actually, not Nate Cole.

  • @Sovairu You're right. Brain fart XD

  • @scrumper77 None of the songs from Moulin Rouge are originals. They're all medleys.

  • @SokaRoxMySox Actually, Come What May is an original. It was nominated for an Oscar.

  • @ashleypanda Actually, it was nominated for a Golden Globe. It was ineligible for an Oscar because it was originally written for another movie that the director did, William Shakespeare's Romeo + Juliet. While it wasn't used in that movie in the end, it was no longer considered an original for Moulin Rouge. BOOSH.

  • @emmalemma151 Congratulations. You chose to nitpick at my comment about something irrelevant to my point. -slow clap- You win. And BOOSH is a shitty catchphrase. Pick something more fitting. Like, "YOU'VE JUST BEEN EMOTIONALLY TOMAHAWK'D."

    Have a lovely day.

  • this always freaks me out but.. it's so amazing :B

  • i love it

  • ewan mcgregor he is my favorite actor

  • ewan mcgregor = omnomnomnomnomnomn

  • This is not an original song.

  • @shiku45 true

  • HoNk

    AnD ThEn OnE DaY

    a MaGiC dAy

    He PaSsEd mY wAy. :o)

    ..

    honk.

  • @Hype583 Your comment made no sense, but some how i love you for it

  • This is heartbreaking, i can't stand it anymore. This is too beautiful, too sad....

Now while im writing this, my eyes fill with tears...

  • i absolutely love this song. i plan on possibly singing it for my schools talent show. wish me luck! =)

  • ♥ ♥ ♥ Chills ♥ ♥ ♥

  • I love this!!!!!!!!!!

  • Casey Abrams on American Idol also did a version of this song, it was amazing! Definitely worth checking it out if you're a fan of this song

  • Favourite movie ever. Favourite version of this song ever. Always gives me shivers. Love John.

  • My favourite version of this song. Just so, so good!

  • story of my life

  • This song make me cry ç_ç

  • I know, I was just joking :)

  • ur rite. thats what i meant 2say.

  • ahh thankyou! been looking for this version! :D

  • 2 people are deaf.

  • It's a shame it cuts off at the end :(

  • This is my utmost favourite version, above them all :) so glad it's been uploaded :D

  • @sadiedmatl its from the movie. the movie had ewan mcgregor singing it. but sadlt david bowe did the soundtrack version. i didnt like it personally. this 1 is better

  • @SEXYCBO Actually it's John Leguizamo who sings the song, exept for the last part "The greatest thing..." (:

  • @tillieemiliabech Really? I was wondering if it was him!! I love this version better! No a fence to David Bowe!! I had no idea that John could sing! That is awesome!!! ^_^

  • is the soundtrack version or taken straight from the movie?:)

  • I looooove the Bowie version, I just hate how he felt the need to scream the last word of the song.

  • Looks like he is holding her tit

  • I can't se any demon, only a inversion from mars?

  • I love this song, but it makes me cry, and yet I press replay every time.

    Anyone care to explain? ;)

  • thumbs up if you saw the creepy demon in the picture

  • Makes me want to cry....

  • is this ewan singing this? so not ssure its anoying me haha. great film

  • @hannahwynd No, it's David Bowie (I think)

  • @hannahwynd This is John Leguizamo (Sid from Ice Age.) The Bowie version isn't nearly as good as this one.

  • @countrypanda94 Oh thank you! Yeh i totally agree with you, this version's amazing!

  • @countrypanda94 I had no Idea that was John Leguizamo singing!

  • @countrypanda94 When I think of John Leguizamo I think of the sexiest Shakespeare character, Tybalt, not Sid.

  • im so addicted to this movie ! but my favorite part of this song is at the ending when

the last phrase was by ewan "the greatest thing you'll ever learn , is just to love and be loved in return" and then you see the curtain close i love it how he sings it

  • PLEASE SEND THIS TO ME!! IM GOING CRAZY LOOKING FOR IT D':

  • why is there a dalek in the background? ;D

  • @BlackoutRK I'm never going to be able to look at it any other way now! I almost cried laughing after reading your comment! :¬D

  • @BlackoutRK It's a Windmill

  • @BlackoutRK david tennant was secretly there! :D

  • @BlackoutRK It is the writing machine that Christian is using in that scene.

  • @BlackoutRK it's not a dalek...it's the moulin Rouge, you know the actual TITLE of the movie...?

  • @crazymangas hey I was joking, thats why there was a winking face at the end :)

  • @BlackoutRK oh! i'm sorry i didn't notice ^^ sorry =\

  • @crazymangas no worries, loads of people have messaged me over it :D

  • @BlackoutRK okey i'll more more careful ^^

I got chills when I saw it...And it turned out that this movie meant a lot to me, since it taught me of a thing I didn't know was true...Or even real..And now I sing this song where ever I go, and that's how I met my boyfriend. : ) And now we like to run around my house playing the two main characters..And we know this whole movie word by word.. : ) I love Moulin Rouge!

  • Hey could you send me this :D

  • I love this song , it has always been my favourite on moulin rouge and it totally portrays the whole feel of the movie

  • The best version of this is sung by Nat King Cole, I was tricked into thinking they had created this song for this movie.... not so. I'm not saying it's not sung nicely though, but still, I'm a purest and like originals of songs.

  • I wish this were on the soundtrack, I'm sending you my email...I hope you can send it to me :) ??

  • This version is so much better than the David Bowie version. This one has much more emotion, such feeling. Like he was reflecting his story of how he met Christian. I cry everytime! ♥

  • i love this song so much

  • HERMOSA VOZ DE EWAN, EN LA ULTIMA PARTE!

  • I LOVE THIS VERSION! they should have put it on the soundtrack instead of the other version :c

  • I love this version, but this isn't an original song from the movie, it was originally published in 1947.

  • 1 person doesnt know what is love and be love in return.

  • I love this version way, way, way better. Thank you so much for uploading this! I've been looking for this version for a very long time.

  • I find the Bowie version much more powerful and dramatic. This is kind of cute but totally flat. I wish the DB verson was in the movie instead. It would have been a grandose opening.

  • please please please...email me this version, I love it, and just cant find it anywhere!!!!...you would make me sooo happy!!!

    izquierdopolo@yahoo.ca

  • ..the greatest thing you'll ever learn i just to love and be loved in return..

    ..i live with these words...

    <3 <3

  • I love this so much.

  • out of them all, this is my favorite version. beats david bowie (that takes a lot!) by a long shot.

  • Gotta love this song, have a look on my page for a saxophone solo of it, think its really effective with the emotions that flow through it :)

  • Much better than the David Bowie version, though that one is good too. I just can't figure out why this wasn't one the official soundtrack

  • Esta version es buenisima con Ewan McGregor

  • can someone send me this version of this song? please? :D

  • it is seldom that someone does a song better than David Bowie but John Leguizamao did just that.

i love this version, it sounds like his heart is breaking form the loss of Satine and for Christian's pain.

  • the beginning scared the SHIT outta me when I first saw this movie when I was 5, with all the scary people :]

  • This is the best vesion. the only one that should count. nuff said

  • Generally, I'm all for opinion. But whoever disliked this is just flat out crazy.

  • This version is so much better than David Bowie's version! >.<

  • Omg there's a Dalek from Doctor Who in the background lol (it's actually a windmill,but....lol!)

  • I love Bowie, but this version of the song is my favourite. It's softer and eerie and dark. I love the sad feeling of the vocals with the dramatic music in the back. Plus I'm fairly sure that McGregor sings the last line :) I love him.

  • i love David Bowie but i do like this version better cuz this is the one i hear in my head when i think about this movie
