  • The 200LR is offered with both the 110 and 115 engine. The 777F (freighter) is derived from the 200LR, but is offered with only the 110 engine. BTW, fan diameter is slightly smaller on the 110 as opposed to the 10 ft 8 in fan diameter of the 115. The 777-200LR, 777-300ER, and the 777F offer GE engines ONLY.

  • some are 110 but now 115 is also a option but it still alot !! especially when it noticeably smaller than the 300er

  • indeed 1:47 is a change in the sound... nice shooting btw, simply amazing

  • Think he cut back at 1 47.

  • Love Ethiopian Airlines!

  • the 200LR is powered by the 110s not 115, 115 is for the -300ER

  • @ashfaqul11

I fear you are wrong. As previously discussed this is a GE90-115B1L. ET needs the higher engine option due to Addis' field elevation of 7000 ft.

  • @Chefsalat76 i see, thanks for that, learnt something new today :) cheers

  • 115 is also the option for 200LR too.

  • @kaomoodang yeah i just found that out thanks for tat :)

  • @ashfaqul11 LR can support GE90-110B1 and GE90-115B1 dude :) But most of it are 115B1

  • @ashfaqul11 -200LRs can be either powered by the -110 or -115Bs

  • Outstanding - great video, clarity and camera work - 5 stars!! : )

  • That big bitch did not want to climb did she? Must have been MTOW.

  • i love it how the daylight changed in these 3 minutes

  • Was it raining in Dubai?

  • Those GE-90-115B turbo fans are 3% less than the B737 fuselage diameter.

  • Pardon me for being pedantic, but the 777-200LR is powered by the GE90-110, not -115. The two engines are physically identical, but a software plug in the -110 model bottlenecks the engine at 110klb thrust.

  • @Mike, thanks for your comment. I just checked, my source says ET-ANO is powered by the GE90-115B1L. To my knowledge the 77L is offered with both engines, the -110 and -115.

  • @Chefsalat76 200 is powered by the -94b

  • @MikeGinnyMD thats what you get for not doing your research. Egg in the face.

  • @MikeGinnyMD The -200 is -94b

  • @MikeGinnyMD Both Engine options are offered for the 77L. Airlines operating from particularly hot and/or high airports often prefer the -115 variant as more takeoff thrust is available ;)

  • WOW NICE CLIP!HAVE U SEEN MY ETHIOPIAN COCKPIT VIEW?

  • Great vid... love the panoramic of Dubai, and can't beat the GE90!

  • amazing video :D 5 Stars definately

  • Film camera? :P

  • fantastic sound

  • Very quiet! This is one of today's quietest planes!

  • Great video! What was your overall routing?

  • @Fly4U

It was DXB-ADD-NBO-ADD-FRA. Flew into Dubai a few days earlier from ZRH on another 77L. Great aircraft and quite powerful with empty tanks, although this particular flight was at max payload.
