Are you actually able to connect the pod xt live directly to the computer, without using an amp? And did you do this here?

I hooked the mono output on the POD to my MAudio MobilePre USB which was connected to my computer. The POD can hook directly up to the PC using the USB connection.

It was about $200ish, but has nothing to do with the sound. You can use the POD, a USB cable going to your PC, and a program like Audacity and get the same sound. The Maudio Mobile Pre allows me to use Pro Tools.
