  • It was easier than playin it on C64...

  • do you have rapid fire? cause on the NES when you are blue dragon you dont

  • love the music in this game!

  • Well, well done.

I get slaughtered attempting this game a lot. (I played it on Namco Museum: 50th Anniversary for the PlayStation 2.)

  • KILLER skills!

  • Yikes, this one looks like a CAKEWALK compared to the original arcade, heheheh...

  • @greytale Yeah! It's the only one I would like to play eventually. I got my hands on the NES version a few months ago.

  • I'm sure someone's mentioned this before but...you can dowload this off of the Wii Virtual Console, that'd probably have better sound. Some Turbo Cd titles are also available, like Ys book.

  • The Area 2 Music was used in the Volcano Level on the DS version of Pac-Man Vs.

  • Great run, man!!! :D

I'm currently attempting to clear this one, but nowhere near a no hit run. lol

But you should have done this in the arcade mode (narrow screen). :P It's actually surprising how much better the game looks in arcade mode. :)

    Again, fantastic run!! :D

  • From what I hear, the TurboGrafx version retains most of the original arcade graphics and sound quality.

  • Great video! Unleash your inner dragon!. One thing I don't understand what is a Turbo Duo or a Turbo Booster for this game.

  • I've played the hell out of the NES version. It's probably my favorite shooter next to Gun Nac.

I noticed this version doesn't have a lot of the power-ups...

Where's the White Dragon? Where's the Small Dragon? Where's the Twin Mini Dragons? Where's the Earthquake Bombs?

  • They're all there. Just watch the rest of the run and you'll see them. :)

  • I guess they're just more common in the NES version.

  • you are a hardcore mother fer. that game is hard as hell

  • I liked the NES version's music much better. It was fun playing until you did well enough to make the maiden from each level appear.

  • I thought the N.E.S. version was pretty weak. The TG-16 version was awesome though. Anyway I always played the TG-16 version and loved it. I thought the music was some of the best I've ever heard in a game....Namco needs to bring this game back!

  • Did the NES version have cutscenes of a guy turning into a dragon at like the top of a mountain, or am I thinking of another game?

  • yeap.. i played that game when i was litte. the one for NES i think is better. the music, the look and it did have cut seens of him ontop of a mountain. there is a vid of that game. its called Dragon Spirit: The New Legend its the only one for NES. Omg. why didnt they release that game on the wii. they have the other one i dont know if its good. and they release CONTRA III WHYY!?!? does anyone remember CONTRA the first one? omg :/

  • wow,, i remember play to dragon spirit 1992 Xd....

  • I take it this version didn't have cutscenes featuring hot anime chicks between stages? I fell in love with those babes on the NES back in the day ;O

  • What would make you think that it's fake? LOL

    Come on now. :P

  • @fircton it's not fake it was played by him.

  • Oh my god I know. I wish they spent more time on the music on today's games. They were so epic back then.

  • At 5.50 what do you get by taking this item?

  • this made me wish I could turn into a dragon and burn down our school and the mall when I was a kid, it was cool

  • I played his game as a kid and LOVED it. I still have it and I was thinking about giving it a run for old time's sake but couldn't hook up my NES. Thanks for posting this.

  • great choice! Dragon Spirit for the TG16 is awesome!!! The NES version is so much weaker....you'll love the tg16 version! =)

  • Hi Spam.

  • Certainly not the best Turbo/PCE game out there, but it really isn't that bad.

  • Sucks.

  • Can't you do the same thing with the Wii?

  • Yeah you could but I don't have a Wii yet. XD

  • How can you take on-screen videos when you play games on a console? I'm too curious.

  • There are several ways to do it. You could record it on to your VCR or DVD recorder and then hook them up to the PC.

I just have the Turbo Grafx 16 connected to a VCR, which is connected to the PC by AV cables. Then I have the RF part of the VCR hooked up to the TV because if I were to play the game from the monitor it would have a slight delay. I just record my games with a program on got on the PC. It beats having to waste a lot of VHS Tapes.

  • You just rock!

  • Thanks a lot! :)

  • Simply amazing. Good job!
