  • what is the difference between the mt 2000 and mts 2000?

  • @tractordude290 MTS2000 is typically a FLASHport radio. MT2000 uses a masked ROM and is what it is. Otherwise they are both Jedi series radios.

  • your battey is going to die any never work again happend to me with the ht-1000 . radio will be fine just look for a new batrey

  • i have that same radio w/ that problem.

  • change the channel

  • change the chanel

  • I don't know what you mean by a lose connection, but it sounds to me like a stuck key from being put back into the front housing incorrectly. Usually on the Jedi series it's been my experience that the top button (orange emergency) is most commonly responsible for this behavior.

  • I have a couple of these radios. I also have several HT1000's. Let me know if anyone needs one. Thanx, Jeff

  • All of yall are wrong , I job is to fix radios with these problems, lol

    the PA is out.

the battery is no good too, this is a pa problem more.

Know as watts on the circut board.

The PA gets burned out like this video when to much talk time is being used. Now motorola came out with Radius because is suppoesed to help save the PA.

Send it to a repair, it may cost you 100 dollars at most. without a new pa its trash. nice radio cost around 450 dollars where did you get it?

  • All I did was give it a good smack and it was fine.

  • that doesnt answer my question, lol

  • cell down in battery check voltage

  • Have you tried connecting a speaker mic to see if the problem still exists? It could be a simple faulty speaker?

  • Thats the antenna

  • What is the antenna?

  • the big long rubber stick on top of the radio, you might need to get a new one

  • reprogram the radio. It's sounds as if there was an unwanted conflict between the radio and the programing.

  • erm sounds like loose conenction wire maybe?

  • I was talking to the other guy who offered u the HT750's. Soz

  • You don`t need a RIB Box . I have a MT2000 too and have a special serial cable bought for around 16 Dollars. No i can programm the radio without any box only with software.

  • I usually recommend a RIB box so users can program more than one radio. Built-in rib cables are more expensive, so it's cheaper to buy one rib and as many non-rib cables for as many radios you need to program. It's cheaper in the long run.

  • hey what does it mean when it says unprogramed how do you program it?

  • You need the Motorola RSS (radio service software) which is a few hundred dollars, a RIB (radio interface box) and a RIB cable.

  • And one very old computer

  • Yep! I use a 486 and DOS for my RSS software.

  • HAHA like i use a 286.... no really, i do!

  • why not new computer ???

  • The RSS' code is designed for the 486 architecture and it won't run on a newer computer.

  • Technology changes.

  • with software

  • sounds like flat battery I have two of them MTS 2000 on VHF abd the sounds your getting would relate to low battery

  • Hey dude my scanner does that when the battery is low without a warning. Was your loose connection on power supply circuit? :)

  • this sound is very bullshit...maybe you make a new codeplug on this radio...

  • i have two HT750's with charger batteries and mics. would you be willing to trade?

  • I don't have this radio anymore. I have an MTS2000 now. I'm not trading any radios at this time but thanks for your inquiry.

  • Well done for getting an MTS 2000. They are nice radios. I used to have one where I used to work but we changed to MTH 800's (Guess where I worked - Police - )

  • Even though its a bit of a late reply but i will buy them if u want.

    I need a UHF 403-470MHz 16 channel.

I will pay $140AU which is about $210US.

  • I sold this radio after I fixed it.

  • man that radio is really fucked mate. get a new one eh.

  • It was just a loose connection.

  • could be a bad discriminator

  • It was just a loose connection :)

  • This radio may be defective!

  • Probably an internal error, I don't know what exactly it could be.
