Mind you, my last console was a PS2... that was a great console. But PS3 and XBox360 graphics are inferior, and PC games are generally cheaper, you can get 75% off deals on Steam... and of course, you can get some games for free so long as you don't care about multiplayer :)

PC is much better for serious gaming, and not a whole lot more expensive, and there is not a huge leap in graphics from a PS2 to a PS3, unlike from a PS1 to PS2. If I ever buy a console again, it will have to be as good as a mid range PC for at least five years, reasonably priced like the PS2 was and have FPS games that are keyboard compatible, can't stand playing FPS games on controllers.
I used to have an Amiga before my ps1 which I got in the summer of 1998. As you can understand the jump in quality was immense. I thought this game was the bees knees at the time and couldn't be beaten thanks largely to the brilliant presentation. EA let their standards slip on the dire Euro 2000 game though.
