  • They have actually had mariachi bands open for them before, at their local shows here....

  • Beautiful.

  • I really enjoy this band, anyone know of other similar sounding ones?

  • @Defexio "Beirut"- similar, not the same. Perfect though!

  • ultra boring

  • At risk of sounding like a broken record: shut up about genre and enjoy the music.

  • Don't you morons know anything? This sounds so simmilar to "latin" music because:

    - Latin music comes directly from Spanish music.

    - Spanish music was strongly influenced by Roma music.

    - The result? "latin" and "roma" traditional music are very simmilar.

    Fucking youtube comments.

  • Okay, all I know is that I love this song and I love Devotchka. Call it anything you want.

  • viva mexicoooo

  • Aaah Devotchka, making my mornings unique every time.

  • Woah. I like this

  • Saw Devotchka last night in San Francisco, they played this song at the end of the first encore and absolutely blew the roof off with it. It's a little more tame on the album, which is a shame, but still a great song. Listen to it LOUD.

If you get a chance to see them live, don't hesitate! I was a little worried they wouldn't be able to live up to their awe-inspiring studio work, but they absolutely did, especially Nick Urata, his voice was everything I hoped for after listening to the albums.

  • I consider myself a devotchka fan, but so far I'm not impressed by their new songs

This aint bad, but something doesn't feel right, oh well...

  • @shinoharataro I felt the same at first, but get it , listen to it a few times, then love it , it is their best album by far imo,

  • WOOOT!! HIS VOICE IS SO GROOOVY!!

  • I always like the ballads like Queen of The Surface Streets, How It Ends, The Oblivion, or We're Leaving more than the upbeat numbers, but this is pretty cool

  • i loved the intro it reminds me a little the shakira song called loca :P but ...then you hear the voice and is devotchka...

  • I'm shocked at how much I dislike this. The Latin style overload completely ruins DeVotchKa's unique sound.

  • @fioredigioia I wouldn't call this latin. It's more of a Roma-ish style.

  • @BoxOfFrogbit "Roma-ish style"!! Ahahaha!! It's impossible not to laugh when i see the strange and crazy ideas that people have about rome and italy!

  • @AM642 Not Rome. Roma.

  • @AM642

hahaha, how can someone not laugh at your ignorance???

  • @AM642 It's impossible not to laugh at clueless people laughing at people for no reason.

  • @leoarispe hahahah my thoughts exactly.. amazing song.great album.

  • @AM642 I think with "Roma-ish" he/she means Gypsy, no?

  • @BoxOfFrogbit MAN! have you been in mexico? this is very alike to the traditional corridos we have in north mexico. Well, or at least like how it used to be.. From a latin, this is very latin (:

  • @fioredigioia

SERIOUSLY?!?!? Did you really post this?!?!? Do you have ANY idea what they sound like?!?!? This sounds EXACTLY like the Devotchka "sound"! Wow! Amazing track!

  • @fioredigioia cmon bud. its devotchka for sure.

  • I lovvvve this song! It sucks because I can only view on desktop and not mobile! Someone, Help!

  • I'm looking forward to the new album! It's gonna be a great year for music. Next week the new Cake album and in March the new Elbow!

  • im so glad they're finally coming out with a new album. this is one of my favorite bands of all time.

  • I Like...A lot!

  • sabor!!!
