    many thanks from Ireland.

  • Awesome recipe, thanks for sharing with us! :)

Easy to follow, and with just a small amount of patience, it was also easily understood.

  • Thank you so much for taking the time to make this cooking video. It was really good and I look forward to watching your future videos. Keep up the good work.

  • Excellent video. Simple ingredients. Easy to follow instructions. Thank you.

  • G T chicken is my 1 of most favorite dish , thanx to Beautiful lady.

  • @scotie86 Hey, don't be a racist! If you don't like the sugar, then don't add it to your recipe if you make it. Geez. YouTube is full of fucking idiots. When I make comments to videos on this site, people give me shit after shit about my opinions, and I am fucking sick of it.

  • Her measurements are spot on -.-

  • She knows how to treat garlic; this woman is the real deal.

  • this recipe is way too difficult for me

  • I think it was great this woman took the time and effort to put this on here for people to enjoy. Who cares where she is from or what she sounds like. She seems like a good person to me, just watch her smile as she's doing this. Thankyou for putting this on here for people to enjoy !!!!

  • @thetooth3011

I completely agree with you :-) She is so energetic to cook and share and thereby educate lots of us. Hats off to you Madam!!! Keep up the cooking show :-)

  • How does any one know she isn't American? American doesn't mean white and speaks english(or have an American Accent). American means a legal citizen of America. I am a white American and I love the Chinese and their food. I also love this ladies accent it makes her unique and she generally seems like a nice person.

  • She sounds like a ROBOT lol

  • 16 people only listen to Lil Wayne

  • Beside Isn't the IBM watson super computer in Jeopardy out-smarted 2 americans player.. I.B.M is a chinese a chinese company.. Now we know chinese people are smarter then dumb racist americans..

  • @JerseyBoy609NJ IBM is an American company. They sold the PC brand to a Chinese company. That didn't make them turn into Chinese people.

  • To All Chinese/Asian HATERs, GO TO McDONALDS And Get Fat Like A PIG YOU ARE.. Dam White/Black people learn to respect people that help US economy.. Example china makes ur stupid iPHONE..

  • you sound like a robot :D

  • i love your voice and accent... its such a turn on... reminds me of Gong Li speaking english.

  • this vid is cool

  • This is a GREAT meal! easy to make and tasted GREAT!! only thing is as a chef i wouldn't recommend using a Bamboo spatula because bamboo is a very absorbent wood and as you can see even in her video it has soaked in many other sauces and foods into it regardless how much you clean it. other than that great meal! love your videos!

  • I've never made this dish - only eat it once or twice a year. But yum it seems fairly easy to make. If I add oyster sauce would it still be considered general tso's chicken?

  • It would save a good deal of work if you mix the water and corn starch to add to the sauce before putting it in the sauce. Then you don't have to deal with stirring out the little balls cornstarch likes to make.

  • @Spacewrat Hey, you don't know me, I ain't no jew!

  • Thank you for this video! My husband and Russian friends love this!

  • Don't eat her cooking...she likes to taste and then put the spoon right back in the sauce. "Flavorful Spit"

  • @OvrC59 you dont have to worry your not eating it mate

  • @OvrC59 lol you clearly have never worked or even seen any restaurants kitchen bro! 99% of cooks do this lol

  • @batmatt49802 cooking's all about approximation man

  • @batmatt49802 best cooks in the wurl aint need to mesure anything they knowed exackly how much they is need to add to the food to make it tase rite.

  • @batmatt49802

hmmm, vidio seems pretty self explanatory if you can read or understand english. Are you really watching the same video as the rest of us?

  • @batmatt49802 1) I can understand what she's saying, her dialect isn't that bad, you're just stupid. 2) If you've been cooking long enough you can pretty much "eye ball" the amount that you put in. Meaning you can tell how much you are using just by looking at how much you are/have poured/pouring. Before you preach about how you can't understand what she's saying, maybe you should practice on your typing first. I bet she can type better then you can!

  • I got it! Actually I could follow you better than those cooks on Food TV! ,'-) Good job.

  • Love your recipes Yequiang!!! You're welcoming and a caring cook. Thank you.

  • I love your cooking videos yeqiang!! Thanks so much for teaching this I cant wait to make it tonight.

  • leave it to people on youtube to begin a comment war about who's culture is more bland and which race is better on a frickin' cooking video. seriously, get a grip, people. thank you for the great video, yeqiang!!

  • As of the past 30 years the US Government has pretty much let go of that system.

Here's a History lession for You.. If You look back further in History, White Europeans weren't the only people to inslave people of color or races, The Chinese, Greeks, Romans, Ancients Summerians, Eypgtians, Asstrians, Babylonaians, all took land from different races and clame it for their own thousands of years before white europeans did anything. So don't go and say just white people, learn the facts.

  • not many people speak a second language fluently.

  • Flavorful.

    That's my new favorite word.

  • this chop suey nigga crazy yo,,,,she cooks nicely

  • I love to make this recipe!! Every time I make it I can't seem to get the chicken right. It always seems to taste a bit bland. Could that be my wok? Or maybe I should cook it longer at first? I love your videos! I make Egg Fried Tomato all the time :)

  • Hi Yequiang really Chinese love cooking... try to see Ching He Huang

  • Isn't chicken powder considered to be MSG as well? =[

I'm Chinese and my parents use chicken powder as well but I'm starting to wonder.

  • I don't really cut it....I PAT IHHHT. :D *SMACK* :D Break it *SMACK* :3

    ---------

This woman is so sweet and over all charming and I just thought that was adorable!

  • yes, let's all speak normative, White American English, because:

a.) such a thing even exists and

b.) as we all know, being American in the 21st century dictates that we all abandon our own "ethnic' cultures so we can adopt the bland, flavorless, lame WASP lifestyle.

  • @batongbakalpare

What's wrong with becoming a White American or being like a White American???

Don't You know most Americans living in the United States would rather see people of different cultures groups accept American culture besides their own and learn to speak english. There is nothing wrong with that, the problem with America now is that we allow too many people of different cultures to live their bland life style. The America of old from 60 years ago would never had done that.

  • @WarshipAngelus What's wrong with it? What's wrong with it is that it is systematically institutionalized and imposed upon all people to erase our histories, deny us our identities, and abnegate our value. Bland lifestyle? What does that even mean? Whites are the blandest people on the planet. You have culture, no flavor, which is why you traipse around the world robbing people of color of what we have. And I'm done talkin to your dumb ass.

  • @batongbakalpare

So let me try to understand this, White People have no culture whatsoever and we try to steal culture and wealth from other nations. Okay I agree with the no culture view, but most american don't try to systematically imposed any vaules on anyone, it's mostly the Government itself for almost two hundreth years has had it's own insitutionalized system on where it takes Europeans and other races and trys to make them be more like white Americans.. You need to get your facts

  • How about all you stupid wankers that have a problem with her accent would just walk into the reach of my fist, and I`ll put you out of your misery?

She`s doing great. Doing it with a smile, and she`s pretty skilled in languages, and cooking. Let`s hear some mandarin or cantonese, ACCENTFREE, from any of you dungheads. To the rest and the uploader:

    My best!!!

  • Awesome video the only thing more awesome is a song about general tsos chicken give me a thumbs up if u want a song about general tsos chicken

  • That's not General Tso, that's sweet and sour chicken. General Tso's should be sweet and spicy and not sour. Sauce should be dark and very sticky. Fail.

  • @vanscoyoc No the fail is that you're talking about the American Chinese food you get from take out places. She explained what makes it General Tso's Chicken. Open your ears and listen and you won't make silly mistakes anymore.

  • u r really cute wen u say hope you like it

  • This has become a favourite with my family. We make this at least once a fortnight now. It never tastes boring!

  • very detailed and your pace is easy to follow...Would be nice if you put the ingredients list in the description..Many thanks!! :-)

  • Thank you so much for the video. Awesome recipe!

  • Thanks for posting this video! General's Chicken is one of my favorite dishes.

  • now that is a very nice wok!!!! xD

  • i just made this , verbatim... ITS AMAZING!! thank you!

  • what a sweety..ty for recipe!

  • That's some stove she's got there! It's like they built a shrine to the Wok! I wonder if that's the secret to her success!

  • Thank You. This is wonderful. I have made this dish before but from different cookbooks and this tomato based sauce was not in those recipe's. Is this a more authentic or traditional version? It does look more like the dish I get in the restaurant. Also what kind of venegar was that you used? I cant wait to cook this.

  • I've never had Chinese foods before. How does it taste like??

  • @KatiushaVN4 its amazing. I'm from Iran and Chinese food is probably the only food I put on the level with my native food :)

  • @KatiushaVN4 dude u missing out big on life

  • @KatiushaVN4 then what are you doing on this site ? why r u watching this ? no one told you.. get the fuck of this channel.. shoot.. ur dead... lol...

  • @KatiushaVN4 then don't ask about it if you don't give a shit

  • @KatiushaVN4 ignorant. oily chinese food is westernized chinese food

  • I love Chinese food! The only other food that comes close, in my opinion, is Italian! I'm so hungry, now. I suppose I should call for takeout. I'm too lazy to attempt this. : (

  • thanx for the video

    i'll try it today (insha'allah)

  • to those of ya'll that are saying you can make general tso's chicken better, why dont YOU go make a video.

  • Thanks for the clear instructions. You have a very nice smile!

  • Nicely done!

  • will u make orange chicken

  • How many would this server? 4 do you think?

  • @TeamKilday by the way - this recipe is awesome

  • i want that wok and stove!!

  • tomato sauce is a new one to me, cherry wine or chinese cooking wine works better. Also ive ate general tsos many times and never seen one without batter (using flour). so basically the title is wrong this must be sweet and sour chicken not general tsos.

  • @ mthomson06 nah it is General Tsos chicken though there is more then one to make this and here in San Francisco have had it two ways, I have also had it the way you are used to seeing it where you have battered chicken covered in sauce and seasame seeds, but also had it in the style prepared here stir fry with vegetables and very hot pieces of pepper. Both are good but like this version more since you really dont need to deep fry the chicken and you still get the hot nature of the dish.

  • She reminds me of the Asian mom from King of the Hill, only not psycho.

  • dosent look like what i get at a chinese place here in new york...but im gonna try it.. and that little asian lady was freakin hilarious.. i know all about accents and all that ...its still funny ...i laugh at all accents equally...and hey im from new yawk so fugeddaboutit

  • It would be nice for me to have an asain friend, so we can share our culture with one another. I will admit they do have the healthiest cooking style other then a vegeterian, except with asain cooking it is shown how meat can be prepared in a more healthier aspect. I Love stir fry and steamed food.

  • i really love this food...ive tried this when i was in alaska and it was so good even when it is cold (straight from the fridge..lolz) and now im back to PI i want to eat it again and again..good thing i saw this video...

  • Isn't it strange that you can't find this dish in any restaurant in China?

    No.

    It's not Chinese. It's American.

  • but its flippen good lol

  • General Tso's Chicken was created by a Hunan-born chef named Peng Chang-kuei in New York City. He was widely acclaimed for cooking several dishes known in his native province as well as inventing many others such as this American Chinese classic. Pick up a copy of Fuschia Dunlop's famous Revolutionary Chinese Cookbook for two variations of this popularly fabled restaurant staple. Read the history behind it and savor many more traditional Hunanese favorites. Highly recommended!!!!
