Surely you should give to the poor because it is the RIGHT and JUST thing to do - regardless of whether it is or isn't in the Koran? If the Koran were the word of god/allah and it advocates giving then surely it does so because it is the right thing to do -- and because such actions are inherently just we can conclude they are just from the merits of those actions alone.

the previous Egyptian agriculture minister was dismissed from the ministry because he wanted to increase the wheat's cultivated area, but US pressed on the Egyptian government and threatened by preventing US's wheat from Egypt, although we've the lands and water and that is what the previous agriculture minister wanted to do.
