I'm from WV originally and yer right, nothing IS going on...except: The Sternwheeler Regatta, Multifest, The Vandalia Gathering, CarniVAL, Mountain Stage, BANDS playing at: -The Empty Glass -The Sound Factory -Sam's Uptown Cafe and others. All KINDS of volunteer activities and sporting events...and that's just in Charlestn! The rest of the State has whitewater rafting, hiking, mountain biking, kayaking...West Virginia Mountaineers. Funny, every city I've been to has crack alleys just a few streets or blocks from the main city. Just depends on the city size.

Pittsburgh, Pheonix, Charlotte, Boston, and Oklahoma City...just to name a few.
