this footage alone is proof buemi was a z-grade driver- no "presence of mind" (jackie stewrat phrase) whatsoever - a good 3 seconds after the wheels fall off he is still steering- thats slower reflexes than my grandma- fair enough for 3/10ths of a second to resort to ingrained habit- but to not be able to process whats happening in 3 whole seconds is disgraceful - he should have been immediately dismissed as an F1 driver after this footage was reviewed - USELESS!!! Lol at whoever said the rod on the right broke causing the one on the left. Weight transfer under breaking puts a huge amount of strain on the front end. Seeing as the front suspension on these cars is independant then even if the right tie rod broke it wouldn't have any effect on the left. Matter of fact losing the right front would lower that corner of the car and take weight off the left side. This was probably caused just by the pressure the front end was under during braking.

The weight on the front tires gets magnified by who knows how many times the G force and the tires buckled under the weight.
