My grandparents would've instantly related to Forever Changes if they'd heard it...the disillusionment, that haunting prophecy that would be fulfilled within just a few years
How lucky was I to be able to see "Love" perform in the 60's and to be hanging out on the Sunset Strip in my youth. This music for which I own both the CD's & LP's of, runs through my veins like a ragging river. I remember seeing the drummer Snoopy playing the song "7 & 7 Is" on Acid and having my mind blown into another world!!! Never in my youth had I seen anyone beat the drums like that. Before Love it was all Beatle's & Stone's, but "Love" changed it all for me.
They inspired a whole subculture in the UK in the 80's - the indie/60's style people who were rejecting the mainstream 80's music and style. Super cool band, with a intoxictating mixture of wonderful music and a notorious reputation. I wore nothing but chelsea boots for the next four years! As Booby Gilliespie said back then "We dont wear chelsea boots because LOVE wore them, we wear them for the same reason - because they're COOL!"
Great to see this. forever Changes has been my favourite album since a guy gave me the original UK version as a present in Scotland in 1987. The only album I've listened to that Iv'e loved EVERY time - and i must have played it a few hundred times since then. Such an inspiration, in many ways - not just musically, but attitude, sense of cool and fashion.
What ever happened to this movie that was supposed to come out last year? Has anyone seen it? All I come up with Love Story star Ali Mcgraw and Andy Williams. Was this film ever released?
Really good vid. It's great that so many interviews of Arthur was done before his passing, and Bryan too. Kudos to the makers of the documentary for making the tribute to the great band a reality.
Is that Mani from The Stone Roses the beginning and 1:08, and 4:04. Forever Changes is my favorite album because it is a sort of life changing experience.
I actually think it's Mani who was in both The Stone Roses and Primal Scream as the bassist. He is the person that did most of the interviews with the Roses. Bobby is the singer for Primal Scream. The British had more of an appreciation for underground American groups and albums like Forever Changes and The Notorious Byrd Brothers charted better in the UK than here. That's why so many UK bandss in the 70s, 80s were influenced by groups like Love.
Good comment by Johnny @5:00~ "You've chased the dragon till the dragon catches you".

Thank You.
In the UK I bought Love's first LP to get hold of their versions of "Hey Joe" and "Little Red Book".
Never looked back and never lost faith.
Saw them about six times over the years in the UK.
The MOST underated band EVER !
