  • An american interpretation of a european song... I have no issue with it... if this was part of "charles stanley came down from the mountain" it would be stellar... God bless

  • voice*

  • You have a nice sound but the lyrics are false

  • @88Hungrigerwolf... what do you mean by "false?"

  • @907Britt he's used to a different version of the lyrics, Like you say, "The trenches have vannished long under the cloud" Im used to hear "Under the plow"

  • @HaakonTheViking thanks for the clarification! I suppose "under the plow" is a better line there. I learned this song by ear and probably misunderstood the words, or perhaps the band I learned it from, Bok, Muir, and Trickett, used clouds? Thanks again for the feedback.

  • @907Britt That and the guy is a stupid nazi degenerate

  • @88Hungrigerwolf

Actually the lyrics are very close to those of Eric Bogle's who wrote the song. Others have changed certain lyrics while keeping the meaning of the song true. Get your facts straight before you make comments. No-one wants to look an ass after all!

  • you have a great talent but you need a musical director to pick up on your weaknesses and you will be a star.

  • A lovely interpretation of the song and lyrics, and well sung and well played. You're up there with the Corries. It took a while to find, silly me. It seemingly goes under the titles of Willie McBride, William McBride, The Green Fields of France and No-man's Land.

  • pray for peace...

  • So well done,
